3. Is it possible to move systems off the galaxy map to allow room for more systems, or will this crash the game? If so what do I do, use negative coords or larger than the map supports?
Discovery uses 19 x 18 systems, all on the nav map.
How many do You want, pal?

You can also use decimal places for systems, so 8.9, 11.3 is acceptable for instance. Crowded but working

Auto-Level is one of the existing keys you can define, after which you can turn auto-leveling off. JFLP is Jasonās Freelancer Patch, which creates the key definition for Rotation Lock and allows rolling during mouse flight (via keys, once Rotation Lock & Auto-Level are off, otherwise you just roll right back).Thatās exactly what I wanted. Thank you. Thereās just one more issue regarding this: how do I make it to where the roll keys will work in mouse flight, or is that even possible?

O.o Thanks a ton. Didnāt expect something so well ordered. I may take you up on the PM offer when I start working to implement this (want to get the system placement and ship handling first), but it seems pretty simple and self-explanatory.

I know, why would I want more than 300+ systems? I donāt. Itās more for aesthetic reasons, and Iād like to move a lot of the originals off the map since Iāve read that removing them can cause problems.

Okay, time for me to sound like a noob again, but I donāt see that text file. I do see the jflp.dll though (in the EXE folder). As for the keys, they are set, just doesnāt work in mouse flight for some reason. Have to turn off mouse flight, then rolling works. Turn it on again and nada. Unless I did something wrong, but it seems a pretty simple task.
Which brings up another question of how to set those two keys so they default as on? Or is that possible?
Thanks again for the help.

Did you also get jflpdll? Thatās an update that provides the mouse flight rolling functionality.Youāll find FLSpew.txt in your āLocal Settings\Application Data\Freelancerā folder (on XP, donāt know about Vista/7).
Ah, that was the problem. I grabbed the JFLP v1.0, but not the v1.1 dll. Works perfect now. +10 Adoxa
Last thing regarding this is the possibility of defaulting the Auto-level and Roll Lock as opposite as whatever they are now (which I assume is āonā for Auto-Level and āoffā for Roll Lock) so that they keys wouldnāt even be needed. I.E. I want auto-level off and the rolling ability without the need for pressing the keys each time I log in. If this oneās to much hassle itās fine. Just wondering if itās possible since it would alleviate posting in a readme and hoping that people see the footnote.
Thanks again mate.

Alright, thanks again to all who posted. Everything above is working very nicely so far.
@Xarian_Prime The Starport PM system seems to be buggered (keep saying it canāt connect to the server, but as you can see the forums work fine), so I sent an email.
