New Server Help

Hi guys. I haven’t been in the game for a while but me and a couple of friends decided to set up Freelancer server for us to mess around on. We’re going to do something silly and integrate a FL server into a political discussion website, then RP political issues. I know it sounds crazy and I’m not sure how it will even work, but half the fun is trying.
I’ve got a vanilla install of the flserver, but I was wondering if someone could give me a list of fundamental “must have’s” that a server should be loaded with, like Ioncross, etc. Also, isn’t there a freelancer sdk patch or something that I should use also?

actually first thing to install is the official 1.1 freelancer patch. just for connection issues and other conflicts. to manage the characters an operating system like ioncross is pretty much what you need. flhook supports more features now but it is rather developed for a server that runs with some heavier modding.

Made a lot of progress since that last post. Patched the server with 1.1 and also the quick fix patch (sdk?). Installed Ioncross and booted her up. I logged in from another PC to test and everything works great. The only problem is the player rank is a question mark and Ioncross can’t seem to find the location of the player. I recall reading about something like this but I can’t find it for the life of me. Any tips?

Something else interesting is that the player doesn’t show up on the player list either…
