FLHook 1.6.1 progress

We are currently preparing the next stable release of FLHook: version 1.6.1.
There’s still a bit of work needed but we hope to come up with something during the next weeks.FLHook 1.6.1 won’t be backward compatible which means you will have to at least modify your plugins in order to get it working with 1.6.1 (more about upgrading will follow later).
If you are aware of any bugs of FLHook 1.6.0 which weren’t fixed yet feel free to create a ticket on our forge project page.

that seems to be the official flhook and not the flak hook, isn’t it? as there is a version 1.6.1 of flhook. i saw it uploaded on skydrive by m0tah.

Yep, it’s about the official FLHook Plugin version.
I think the Flak version is based on the old FLHook code without plugin support. -
All FLHook Plugin versions are named “FLHook vXXX plugin” to avoid misunderstandings.
So if you download an FLHook version that doesnt have “plugin” in its name, most likely its not the plugin version but something else.

Will this one compile in VC++ 2010 express?

The current source works fine with VC 10 (I don’t have VC 10 express so not sure bout that).
1.6.1 will drop support for VC7 and VC9. -
I’ve updated the example plugins and FLHook.ini.
If you’re a plugin developer you should have a look at the example plugins.
You need to export the Get_PluginInfo function which replaces the plugin ini.I’ve also changed he SVN folder tree to a proper SVN one.

Also for plugin developers, note that the size of the PlayerInfo array has changed from 201 to 250. You should get the latest flhook.h and make sure your code is able to cope with the bigger array size.

Dunno what official version at the end will be released and that it states that no any “new futures” except existing will contain, but I would like, maybe others too, one simple that is already seen.
Option to prevent players using bats/bots in pvp with a set time.
Possible?

W0dk4 has coded such a thing for the HC server, he might be willing to share the code, providing it is useful for you since you are most likely not using the same FLHook version…?

Seeing the final stages of this development may I ask how many changes it would be needed for plugins to make them work on new FLHook version (aprox time)?
Interested particularly for cloak and dockrestrict plugins.Thank you
