Update regarding CrossFire v1.9
-
This is just how it goes when it comes to mod releases. Sometimes they are released in time, sometimes not. I see no point in being angry because of the late or postponed release. Be glad there are still mods and good ones and FL is not dead 9 years after the release.

This doesn’t excuse being a dick with your fans, Kuze. Politeness and consideration go a long way.
However, please keep discussion in this thread in check. We won’t lock this unless it becomes a flame fest.

Well. I gotta say, that was a good laugh
OP never disappoints

me agree with Sushi. one funny thing about OP is, that no matter how few he cares about anything else but himself and his work (which is quite no bad work), no matter how he really considers himself and his work the most important things ever created and essential to everyone’s survival, he never ever would recognise the ridiculosity of it and never ever would accept or even give a tinker’s damn about anything else someone else might say about his expressions or overall behavior.

Bit of a shame to see the atmosphere in a team go down to this level I think, regardless of what the reasons might be. Unfortunately I have seen it happen a couple of times now, in different teams. It was one of the bigger reasons why Akira and myself chose to go our own way.
I haven’t ever visited the Crossfire forums or had a look at the mod before, and reading this, I don’t feel the need either tbh. After my own experiences I try to stay away from things like this.Dam shame.

Just in case anyone doubts the authenticity of my quote above, I’ve got a link to a screencap that I took just in case I was banned from the CF forums for my response.
As I mentioned in my huge wall-o-text response, I don’t give a damn about the CF releasing on time. I just took his response to be really hostile towards all his fans and his entire community, rather than directed at the individuals who were giving him a hard time (as it should’ve been done). This type of response is best done via PM or e-mail. Accusing all his fans/community of being ‘slavedrivers’ and trying to claim himself as ‘god’ was just…wow.
The funny thing is that all this could’ve been avoided if he’d anticipated the delay even a few days ahead of time, gotten rid of the counter, and put in the ‘example’ explanation like I wrote in my response. Something that’s humble, apologetic, and shows a bit of grace and humility. Something that shows some maturity.
I know that StarPort archives a lot of stuff, and I figured that historians might find it useful in the future to have humorous events like this archived for posterity.
I appreciate not being seen as a troll (how refreshing!) and you all should know I’m a long-time member here about 2-ish years ago but I forgot my username/password so I just started fresh again since I didn’t even remember what e-mail I registered under.
Thanks to all who responded.
EDIT: A financial expert? Really? I sincerely hope that’s an exaggeration cause I wouldn’t want anyone like that handling my finances >_<

IMO this signature doesn’t diserving a great modder! Do you think the same thing?
