Report Id: fd68ab26-cd54-11e1-ac58-001cc0946198Crashing occasionally when alt-tabbing back into the game or opening a chat window.
Using RimShot’s borderless windows mod. going to deactivate that and see if it recurs.
-
you got the offset wrong, it is: Fault offset: 0x00018b93.
unfortunately i can’t tell what happens exactly as my debugging skills are still limited.
the function seems to be taking 2 args where one of them is the screen width, the other could be TRANode.on a side note:
i’ve never had problems using it for years, it was also include in a version of the void mod which however was taken down after short time due to other reasons.
i didn’t alt+tab much but open the chatbox for sure. -
well, it doesn’t seem to be related to the rimshot interface mod after all, i’m still occasionally crashing when opening up a chat window.

FLSpit mostly just shows a lot of missing mp3 codec errors, a failed to loaded fldatastorm xxxxxxx.fl error (fixed that), and other ‘normal’ looking errors. I just did a complete reinstall of everything including FL, the 1.1 update, the NoCD exe, and JFLP 1.2.
I’ll see if it comes back but won’t have time for about week or so.
Thx.
-
MP3 Codec Fix will take care of the mp3 codec errors (it will be in the next JFLP, whenever that will be). As for the other, I too will respond next week…

I thought it might be related to two entries for HUDShift.dll in dacom.ini but that wasn’t it…
I thought it might be related to the nofovx option when loading the jflp.dll but that wasn’t it…Using the following:
jflp.dll (1.2)
effects.dll (from FLAC)
libcurl.dll (from gls workaround mod)
gls_workaround.dll (from gls workaround mod)
HUDShift.dll

We’re currently using JFLP 1.0 on our server but are transitioning over to JFLP 1.2 with our latest mod update.
The ONLY people who are experiencing these crashes are those who’ve upgraded to the JFLP 1.2 package.
Has anyone else been experiencing issues with JFLP 1.2?
I’m going to revert back to JFLP 1.0 to see if the problem goes away.
-
Went back to JFLP1.0 and applied the JFLP1.2 dll
remarked out HUDShift.dll so it wasn’t loading.Still getting:

One of the font addresses patched by JFLP was wrong - 1.21 should fix it.The crash in common looks to come from a launch; I don’t know if that was a side-effect of the bad patch or something else.
Can you elaborate on the common crash? By launch I presume you mean leaving a base. I’ll keep an eye on that but almost all crashes I experienced were when alt-tabbing back in, or opening a chat window. The interesting thing was that it wasn’t predictably reproducable but intermittent.
