Aye, does look sweet fair do like Nice to see youâre not afraid to use a splash of colour on your ships and what not, be even nicer to see a splash of colour in your effects, lasers, explosions, engine trails etc.

Hey guys! Exciting news - we reached our base goal!
Now we are pursuing stretch goals of an additional pirate faction (+5K) and âPrivateerâ mode (+30K) and a dream goal of FPS elements (+40K).
I didnât come empty handed - here is a new trailer:

This is a warm up trailer for the Kickstarter finale trailer, which by my estimates is⌠well I donât want to oversell it (ok I do - Iâm super excited).
I will post it later on this week and then quit running around the web promoting the project.
PS:
If you havenât been keeping up with the projectâs updates, thereâs been a few neat âhow indie games are madeâ videos added. If you are interested in gamedev/coding etc I hope that youâll find them interesting.
Here is a video where I talk through adding mines:

Hereâs the end result:

Hereâs another video where I talk through adding an area of effect missile, this one focuses more on coding:

Looks promising, just I wouldnât familiarize it with pure FL. More like mixture of Freelancer and FreeSpace.
âŚI was wrong! Looking at this video its pure FL style!
Engine kill, guns follow the cursor, thrusters on all sides, rocks âfeelâ the hits, âŚ
SPECTACULAR, BRUTAL, AMAZING, ⌠ALL IN ONEI found all answers!

âŚHowever I think there are too much and big HUD elements on the screen all around. A ship is small and kinda lost on the screen. Just my observation.Yea I was with a lot of further questions until I read all info.
From kickstarter page:
2D Art:
Heads Up Display (HUD) - almost all of the HUD art is my own âprogrammer art.â A HUD is the bridge between ship and pilot, currently Void Destroyerâs HUD is mediocre at best, far from professional quality. The funds will be used to overhaul the HUD.
Seeing all the info, you really realize that this vision of gameplay is unique in spacesims.
@ chaosavy Best wishes to beat SC regarding funds and players!

Thanks! Yeah the hud is a sore spot⌠too bit especially the orientation bar - I must hate it most of all since I see it constantly while developing/testing/playing hehe

We are down to less than 48 - so you guys wonât be spammed by me any more and Iâll have to switch to the liquid form of sleep (caffeine).

No reason why you should stop posting, everyoneâs interested

Cool - Iâll keep posting updates from time to time.
I havenât âpromoted/marketedâ since Kickstarter⌠over 60 days I believe. With the recent 100 games being greenlit Void Destroyer jumped up in rankings, we are now in the top 100 (out of over 1300). So Iâm devoting some time to get even higher in the rankings.
So - if you havenât yet - please vote for Void Destroyer making it into Steam - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=146068036 (since voting via the web page is somewhat clumsy you can also find Void Destroyer via going to the Steam Client - then clicking Community - then choosing Greenlight and entering in âVoid Destroyerâ into the search). And if youâd be so kind as to bug your Steam (and other) friends to vote that would be incredibly helpful as well.
Here is an updated video of updates since Kickstarter:

There is an updated demo on the main site here: http://www.VoidDestroyer.com so you can check out the changes.
Hereâs a vid where I talk about the recent mouse changes and time dilation system:

Hereâs a screen shot of the new repair ships:
