Just thinking aloud here…
When I see models in drab military colours like camouflage, I wonder whether if in future there will be any military at all, since they have no money and corporations are taking over the space exploration role now.
So how would a cruiser in Branston colours look, taking a hint from his space flight vehicle? Any texturers ready for a laugh and a few hours of fantasy?

… and from there, given that tourism and flaunting of wealth are in order, the space stations may well be more civilian follies than blocks of functional dwellings. How about a station with suites of space penthouses with huge view panels, and bubble mansions?

Hey guys.
If you have time, I’d really appreciate if you could help me out with a short background story for this model I’m working on. It is a battleship based on the latest XI capital ship concept art from RSI and I will also be texturing it but after I finish some of my other work.
If you feel like helping me out with the story, please feel free to incorporate whatever elements you wish, such as where it was built, who is using it and how, etc., the kind of stuff you usually see in my short stories.

This ship is so much a work of space architecture you should sell it to NASA (or India, or China Space Agencies maybe?) for much more than the FL game earned altogether!

I got really excited when I saw this concept art on their site. It looked so cool yet somewhat easy to make. I think I may make another slightly different version of this model, where I will add some of those other shapes at the bottom, from the concept, but that will be after I make the texture for this one most likely. -

Reminds me of Black Prophecy. Still can’t believe they screwed that up, was a beautiful game. If only they’d delivered a normal space sim instead of an mmo, would have been such a different story. -
100% agree ! That game was so soooo impressive but that lag made it pretty much unplayable for me
But I believe they might be coming with a SP version after all, guess we’ll have to wait and see if that’s what all this secrecy is about:

Are you serious? What have you heard Sol? It makes sense not to waste all those assets, considering space sims are making such a comeback it would seem.

It’s just chatter that I picked up on mate, that along with the website does make you wonder a bit about what they’re up to, but it might just all be fan dreams
