FLED_Thorn renders "comdlg32.ocx missing" error
-
I’m trying to get my entire modding kit for FL operative again on yet a new laptop.
My FLED_Thorn (both the original and Adoxa’s version) renders a “comdlg32.ocx missing” error message.
I already found out that comdlg32.ocx is not included into Win7, and found instructions to donload it, put it into System32 and register it, but it fails. Actually the registering fails.
I didn’t use FLED_thorn much anyway, but I fear this problem might indicate more trouble at hand… Am I missing some help files into Windows? Should I install .NET or something alike?
Btw Freelancer itself runs as it should; so does FLMM and several other tools.

comdlg32 has nothing to do with .NET, it’s an ancient module for ActiveX, which is why you don’t have it.

Makes sense. I had some seconds thoughts about being directed to the System32 folder, but as it is still there, I figured it would still be used anyway.
Trying it out now….
EDIT It worked, and so does FLED_Thorn
Thanks again!
