Update help

I re-discovered this game in the original box, and my issue is I know there is a game update (i hear it’s to 1.3), but my game is at 1.0 and since Microsoft doesn’t support the game anymore, I was wondering is there a link I can get the updates up to the most recent? I’d just browse through the download section but there’s a ton of “anonymous” download posts with random names, so I don’t want to get another virus attack on my computer.

Nathan, welcome to the forum. Nice to see people returning to Freelancer after so many years.
Microsoft only released one official patch (1.1) although others have been released by some very dedicated enthusiasts.
Current bench mark is Adoxas JFLP
This corrects many deficiencies and adds some content to the original game, also adds widescreen support too
