Cockpit questions
-
Hello everyone I am new here. I’ve been a fan of Freelancer since it was released and still have my original disc. I just started playing again alone and on discovery. I have been trying to figure out how to adjust the field of view (fovx I believe) inside of the ship cockpits so that I can see more of the cockpit. I have been playing around with a lot of adjustments but just can not lock down the fov inside of the cockpit and how to change it in the .ini files. Any help would be appreciated!
I found this old post here from 2014 visualizing exactly what it is that I am trying to accomplish. Here is a paste with 2 links from that post :
" Why didn’t anybody tell me that cockpits can be made to look like this?

Thank you,

Had a bit of thought about this and I’m not sure there is a way to specifically lock the fov inside a cockpit. Have you tried offsetting the cockpit models forward a bit to try and reveal more of them?

It’s been some time but as far I remember the Cockpit models store fov for x+y and a z near and z far offset.
That should be enough to achieve this stuff.
