Server Bring-back Help

I was wondering there’s a way to bring back a server from the void of servers who never put their servers on FLSDCT, ect.? I, at first never knew about the Global Server closing in January, so I never put my server on FLSDCT,ect. Is there a way to bring a server back without knowing it’s IP address?

If you do not have the IP and can’t contact someone running the server, I’m afraid there’s little to do. If you cannot contact anyone with the IP, the server probably died off anyways…

There is a project by Crazy to bring back a replacement for the global server , http://fllistserver.com/news/ , lets keep fingers crossed .

This replacement still needs actions to be taken from the server’s part. If the server admin does not do anything, it will not be seen on this new Global Server.

Not if Crazy can get the DNS from M$ , thats the goal .

Then I really misunderstood you. If you ARE the admin of the server, head over to www.whatismyip.com to know your IP. Then, you can add your server to FLSDCT or simply give out the IP to whoever wants to play on your server.

on the conversation of ip address anybody know the ip for Cryogenius [email protected]because i used to have but i updated my firewall and lost my setting and his adress . in order for him to ping me and update my server stats he has to be on my trusted ips list thanks./[email protected]

Isn’t that call Direct Connect and is in the Freelancer folder? ???

Direct Connect allows people to connect to YOUR server, but they need to have your IP first. By going to that site, you can get your IP and distribute it to players OR forward it to FLSDCT for them to add your server to the software.

Another problem is that it’s changes when I start the computer or when i sign in the internet, my IP seems to change. So it makes it hard to do and keep people with the up-to-date IP.

That means you probably have dial-up, right? If so, it seems you’re pretty much out of luck. You wouldn’t be able to run a server with dial-up anyways, lacks the speed needed to withstand more than one or two players.
But I’m assuming again, are you on dial-up?…
