use cd lite much easier to use and more flexible. i cant tell you anything i have to see your exe folder and see whats in there to help you a little more. but in relality the new charater file has little to do with mp some people actually delete that file and put everything in mpnewcharater file like i showed you. if you have a multi player load out you can put that right into that file like i did with the anubis and it will work.

Hey Dark,
I’m still getting the ‘Character name already in use’ whenever I try and log into your server. I’m assuming this is due to a difference between the version of the mod I am running and the version you are running.
I’ve had no problems running IC using IONCROSS. I used FLMM 1.4 and the latest release of IONCROSS and the server seems to run ‘ok’. Of course I am connecting to the server locally and I do get the random crashes and the server seems to hickup during fights (momentary hesitation of the game that I don’t get when playing SP).
I’m beginning to think my ISP is blocking certain ports since I can’t seem to get a connection from outside even when I DMZ through my router but that is something else entirely.
If anyone needs another set of eyes to help test I’m all kind of available. I haven’t been this excited about a mod in years.
One thing I have noticed is that sometimes the NPCs will get stuck in an auto-manuver for docking loop at some of the stations causing a backup of NPCs that are waiting to dock and also blocking you from docking. I think this may be related to ship speed. I’ve had it happen to myself as well and had to ESC and reposition myself manually then dock again.

Hello everyone, I have small problem with this awesome mod.
When Im activating this mod via FLMM (and deleting saves etc too) and when I try to launch game… nothing happens.
Screen goes dark, I hear only fragments of audio and game is not even loading.
My comp spec is:
P4D 3.6ghz
1.5gb ddr2 667
GF 7600 GT 256mbOther mods are working, only this one causes that strange error.
If you know how to solve that problem, please help.

Well, I did everything what you said.
Checked these files, everything was fine but game won’t lauch.
I have reinstalled FL, FLMM and redownloaded mod.
I have even cleared registry.
Nothing happened, error still appears, game is freezing.Damn, I want to check this awesome mod and something is not working properly

Sounds like your graphics card doesn’t like “bloom”, it’s a graphics enhancement that some ppl are adding to thier FL mods, but unfortunately the addition of this addon means some of us just can’t play their mods.
In a community that’s struggling to stay alive this is a stupid move, as the fewer ppl that can play the mod the sooner the mod will flop (just my opinion). -
But when Im running Discovery 4.85 mod with bloom option enabled
(ENBSeries Mod)
everything is working fine, bloom is very intensive and game is working without lose of fps.So I don’t understand why bloom added in IC mod would cause game to freeze : /
If some of you know how to fix this problem, please help. -
It was a mistake to include the bloom on by default. If a next version is ever completed, bloom will not be enabled by default. Other than disabling bloom, the only other advice I can give you is to wipe your accounts folder that is under My Documents\Games\Freelancer. Doing so will usually fix the huge majority of crash on start up bugs.

I’m loving this mod, except for a crash I keep getting. It usually happens when trying to enter a tradelane, particularly the tradelane from manhatten jump gate to planet denver in the texas system, that’s not to say it happens everytime, but it’s a common place for it to occur.
Anyway, here’s the crash report, it always points to the content.dll file.

I’ve heard of this before. I remember that I was able to narrow down at least one of the crashes to the Texas-New York area. I don’t honestly know what causes it, my guess is something related to either npc spawning in one way or another.
When I was making and testing the mod I used singleplayer almost exclusively, and balanced the ships and general gameplay around singleplayer gameplay. Towards the very end of development I started doing some rudimentary multiplayer testing and found that there were several things that did not work as I expected them to work due to obscure differences between the singleplayer and multiplayer components of the game. I already felt pretty finished with the mod, and I never really intended for the mod to played in multiplayer, it was a proof of concept for some gameplay mechanics that got out of hand and turned into a full mod.
All that said, if you’re getting this crash consistently in singleplayer then I’m not sure what to say. While Itano Circus was never the most stable mod in the world, it was far, far more stable in singleplayer because that is where I did all my testing and debugging.
If someone so inclined wants to look into and fix the issues, I would very much appreciate it. I however probably won’t be fixing it myself. Sorry.
TL;DR I’m aware of the crashes, but I haven’t the motivation to go back and fix them because I never intended it to be a multiplayer mod in the first place.
