MS Fan Site links
-
Yes sorry that I open another thread for this but I felt that it would be better than using the old one.
With the help of another community member (thx gibbon) I was able to get a bunch of FL sites added to the official MS Freelancer Fan Site.
http://www.microsoft.com/games/freelancer/external_02.aspxThe links which where added are:
–==SWAT-Portal==–
The Freelancer Community site::By Team [RIP]
Freelancer List Server Project
Station-Network (German)
Digital Brilliance
=EOA= Players ConsortiumIve submitted that list of FL sites due to their importance for multiplayer gaming, development of tools, FL code researches, debugging, offering quality downloads and high activities in the entire FL community. Eventhough I am involved in most big FL communities on the net I need to admit that I can not know about everything.
If you feel that Ive missed a site which is dedicated to server the FL community and which shows a pretty good activity then please contact me so I can try to get the link added.Together with Starport and LancerHQ and by ignoring that TLR is missing (due to their own wish) I believe we can meanwhile say the FL community is getting somewhere.

Very great work ;D
Hopefully we’ve set a precedent which may now easen our relations with Microsoft a little…
-
Applause for the Effort… and thanks for including the FLC
nice to see a mixed list of sites … gives you the Feeling the whole community has started to embrace one another…
well done …
-
Nice one! Thx for including Station Network
May I ask how you did it? Did you ask the same guy from which cheese got the mail?
-
Good work man!!
-
dunno if its the same guy… but its possible
I also got the confirmation that future changes/additions are possible and welcome thereWell, if MS is that cooperative, what about asking them (again) to redirect the DNS entry or (alternativly) host or put up a link the GLS Workaround/MP Patch?

This is a really good job!
FL isn’t dying ;D

I could try it but I have my doubts that it will lead to something
in the end we are talking about 2 different divisions of microsoft… the MS games and the MSN gaming zone (where the gls was located) -
Thanks alot, I appreciate the link!
