International Freelancer Xfire Group & Chatroom !!

Huhu,
I just opened a Xfire group for the FL Comm (guess who has driven me into this ^^):

I also opened a xfire chatroom “freelancer”
Tutorial how to join clan & chatroom:
The Clanfeature allows you to have everyone in your friendlist who is in the group.
You have to set up and install xfire first.
4. You may want to speak to one group admin to get quicker accepted.
How to join freelancer chat room:
(Of course you have to enter “freelancer” instead of freespace2 xD)
Just wrote the tut for FS2 some time ago
Information 'bout X-fire:
Xfire is an Instant Messenger (like ICQ or MSN) with an “Ingame Chat” ability. That means, you can chat with other people while playing your games. Thereover, it also has features like chatrooms, gamestats, miniprofile, voice chat, auto screenshot and video uploads, auto patch downloads, server browser and much more. Try it out! (You can disable the features you don’t like)

Eh - Tried. Always searched some thing “freelancer general” areas, but I didn’t found some thing similiar like that every time. TBH, I was quite a bit unsure some times where I should post the topic. Sry for every thread in a wrong area.

I’m getting a new computer this week, and some better internet, I’ll redownload Xfire onto the computer, register as Talc, and then try to get this done, it’s hard to do on my current internet/ISP (sometimes I just wish I can pull the cord out and throw it out the window lol.
Anyway sounds cool Bas, gonna check it out soon.

Accepted, I just don’t use Xfire anymore since it isn’t fully compatible with my current system setup.

Where do i find a freelancer server with people actually playing? I’ve looked and looked. I don’t want to to start a profile and explore all the systems again just to findthat i am the only one playing.

Don’t just login, look at the websites too? The FLCN at the top has an awful lot of server sites to check out.

Well, there are plenty of busy servers out there. Some of those are:
- Hamburg City Server
- The Void
- Tekagi’s Treasure
- Discovery Freelancer
- WTS World
- Crossfire 1.81
…And so on. Most of the players on those servers are really friendly and will help you get started.

Thanks Home away from home. I think I’ve played wtih you. At any rate I’ve downloaded the Xfire but don’t know what to do with it yet. If I can muster up the motivation I may read the tutorials. But reading is tiresome for me these days. And I’m lazy. I vivsited the chat room afew times but no one was there. I’ll drop in now and then just in case. Perhaps I should add you to my friends list. If I can find your Xfire ID. Mine is lmnemo. The idea of voice chat is very appealing to me. Especially if it can be done while p aying. I’ve launched freelancer with Xfire but Xfire goes offline when the game starts up. Maybe the tutorial will shed some light on that if I ever read it. CYA later.
