SP turned MP mod?

I think I was reading on here either before or, after the transition of forums that someone here has created a way to turn SP, into MP without going online to play Freelancer in the same manner? If so, where’s the topic or, the link to the mod/files/we please? I can’t find it.
I want to check out something with a few things I’m working with and want to see if this can help without going online to do so.
Any professional feedback would be helpful.

OpenSP kills at least the whole storyline. -
I think he will play the single player story with a friend.
Had the idea a while ago and its should be possible with a lot of hooking for the vid sequences, waypoints, sounds or the right ships at the right time.
It wouldnt be exactly the same but u can do something close to it.BUT as far as i know there’s no modification doing this.

FLAC allows two players non-registered and I can test some thing, non-registered using two systems without another player alone in other words.
If FLHack will let me do that, then I will try it.

FL Hack’s “Dual MP” will run the server and two instances of Freelancer all on the same machine. The first instance will use a normal account, the second will use a dummy account (00-00000000). So it’s single player, in the sense there’s just you, but it’s also multiplayer, since you’re still playing on a server, with two characters. I’m not sure that’s what you actually want, though.

No, no. I want to see if I can play SP without going online as MP in order to have more than one char, at least two? I’ve run a server and have been for better than 4 years now I know how all that works. Maybe I confused you and myself with all the replies and/or suggestions?
If I want only two players online without any other player, I can use FLAC unregistered and do that because, it only allows two players that way.
LAN will allow those on my service to play. I don’t want any other player than myself is what I’m asking about.
@ andoxa, does FLHack produce a Generic Server on the list? v 0.0

What mod ye running there HK?
Oh and Adoxa… any way i can get hack to work with a different FL directory? seems it wants the default… and i only keep that for a fresh reinstall of … well any mod really… I keep them all separate and loaded and change out my savegames when switching servers… have for years…
But i wanna try it with XLR… and that’s located (& always will be as per install instructions) C:\XLR\Freelancer
After finally taking your word on the “false positive” Avira just loves to flag it with… I must say… nice proggy! 8-)

NeXoSE, it’s called sarcasm. That interface is very similar to that in Forsaken’s mod, although I believe I’ve seen it elsewhere too (the background image is different, that’s the sole difference). Whatever the case, it does seem a bit strange that such a strikingly similar HUD appears in more than one mod…

I’m stop to change my HUD to black now….
There only few choice for color of HUD, black, red, yellow, orange, blue, and green.Actually i don’t like black HUD, When i see the black HUD i will think of chocolate, but i like EVEONLINE’s HUD, it mainly transparent.

@HunterKiller: When FL Hack starts the server, it automatically accepts the current configuration (and patches server.dll to allow “Best path uses jump holes”). On the client side, it tests if the IP is 127.0.0.1 to ignore version (and the second instance gets the account patch). Neither of which should be changing the version number. As for the original question, I’m still a little unclear. You don’t actually want to play a single-player game (as in “New Game” or “Load Game”), nor do you want to play the single-player story in a multiplayer setting, but you want only one player on a server? Can’t you just simply configure the server to allow only one player?

Sorry for not replying sooner (i didn’t know I was still logged in) as I lost service in the middle of my posting yesterday here due to a change/merge of Internet Companies and had no service during this change. In the meantime, I have been elsewhere but yes, I could run a server (but not possible atm) in MP allowing only one player but, I have a server running and only that is online atm. I borrowed a neighbors laptop and am using my service because my laptop has no WiFi now for some reason? Different subject.
I’m trying to work on an SP version for the mod I have and am not able to put it online and somewhere, I read about SP as MP and no mention of it being a server side play mode. I could have misread it. I wanted to be able to have it so players can have at least two ships in SP as if playing on an MP server so when they find equipment, they can switch/save it to a storage ship and not have to sell it all the time or buy a new ship in order to use it. Sounds good, no?
I hated to sell my, ex; Dromy, just to buy a class 10 ship in order to use some of the weapons then, sell it, buy a new ship just to go back to trading again. Sux. I know I can ‘Save Game,’ then sell that ship, buy new and go on but, I still have to keep saving games all through the game to keep them.
Mainly looking for a new feature and wanting to see if it would work and thought that maybe it was here somewhere?
Thanks and if the idea is good and you can do it, do so. I can’t. I think it will make SP less boring and make it better for those that only create mods for SP more useful to those that would rather play Freelancer in SP who don’t play online. More options for them.

Does FL Hack has to start the server everytime I want to use such a feature? -
@Bas: It’s available for SP at any time, but it’s only available for MP if Hack starts the server. (BTW, I wrote that option way back in March, when I was on TLR. Here’s the link to all its options.)
@HunterKiller: Ah, I see! So you don’t actually want MP at all, just the ability to have multiple ships in SP. Hm, I think there’s a way to do it, give me some time…
