How do I get Freelancer?

Hi everyone.

Am new here.

I played Wing Commander Privateer Gemini Gold and loved it want to play Freelancer.

I downloaded a full version of Freelancer from the net. I tried to make the .exe work and added various .dll it asked for.

The message says: 'the procedure entry point ……could not be located in the dynamic link library qt-mt334.dll.

Just wondering how i can get around this or whether I should buy the game (it’s a few years old…will it work on XP)?

You should definitely buy the game; it’s worth every penny. There still are quite a few places selling it. If you could tell us in what country you live, we could provide with locations that’d be best for you.

I know there was a thread around here where we ended up having a bunch of locations to buy FL from… Here.

And of course it’ll work on XP. The game might be old, but XP is older than FL!

Not sure that this game is sold here anymore. Althoughh one of the Amazon links kindly provided claims to sell.

There’s no “claims” about it, if it’s available then get your credit card out lol. eBay always has some as well.

Note: You don’t have to worry much about an used version IMHO, FL doesn’t require a CD key, so there is no chance that someone cheated you about the key.
