unless someone who knows will respond, the closest way is to edit the texture. cut a piece, move the remain and put it on the other side.

If it is only one, you can upload it and someone other rotate it

Just a q: can the starsphere cmps be defined as object with proper size?
If it can be, then rotation is solvable.

anyway, if you edit directly the texture it won’t affect the starsphere in any way but its visual look. the texture is the image upon, not the mesh.

btw, after you rotate and before you export from ms3d, do you assign the entirely model and move/absolute x,y,z?

I already told you how to fix this! Use UTF Editor, open the original and the new starsphere. Now drag and drop the materials and texture nodes from the original one into your new one! So every material is there and it should work.
