DOCKING PROBLEMS (How to do/mod/program/ the AUTO DOCK on the game?)
-
Sorry for the double post.
Can someone please help me on doing the auto dock.
The complete procedure/process on doing it on .ini file/s.
Does it really on the .ini file/s or other file/s?
Cause when my “ship MOD freighter” docks in any stations and/or battleships it will only stay outside and it will not dock.
But sometimes I am the one who manually docks on the stations - by waiting the hatch to open then boost my speed to go inside the hatch. And for the battleships is hard to dock manually.
This is what my ship do -
I press F3 on any space stations then automatically my ship will go to the hatch and when near at it, my ship will turn around away the hatch/station then facing back again to the hatch/station and after, my ship only stays outside the stations. For the battleships it will go to the hatch and then stays only under the battleship. And it never docks. It is just like waiting for nothing but the icon DOCK is still on.Is there anything that will fix this problem even not the auto dock mod?
Consider that there are more ways to make it done.
Like can I change the type of the ship at shiparch.ini? -
type = FREIGHTER –-----> type = FIGHTER . So that it will know that it is light/small ship. OR maybe this is not?So please can someone help. Thank you and appreciate it people.

Does your model have a hpmount and if yes where is it located?
-
The easiest way is do adjust the dockingsphere in the solararch ini for every single station used ingame (via mass edit).
BUT this will probably turn of the dockingsequenze (dockvideo). -
Thanks for your reply.
I do knew that already - the moors.dll. But I can’t seem to install the Freelancer’s patch 1.1 version.
It says - “The retail version of Freelancer is not installed on this system”.
I looked my Control Panel and went to Programs that are installed in my computer and I saw the Freelancer was there.
Don’t know why? So I did not try/use yet this moors.dll cause of this problem but I know about adoxa’s dlls. I read this in other forums.
Can you help me here to solve this problem or can you email me the files of the FL patch 1.1v? ( Not the .exe )
Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.
Yeah I did that already but it did not work. I used jump to try it. Cause someone said that when you use the JUMP, all ships can land on anything.
So can you give me the EXACT way on how is it done? Please.
It is fine for me that when docking, the dock video will be remove.
What do you mean (via mass edit)?
By the way I did not mean AUTO DOCK at my title. Wrong use of word. I mean when you are already near the station/s or battleship/s then you press F3 it will bring you directly to the LOADING screen.
How is that done in the .ini files? Or maybe in other files? -
Sorry again for the wrong use of word about the title.
AUTO DOCK -
I MEAN when you are already near the station/s or battleship/s then you press F3 it will bring you directly to the LOADING screen. No more waiting when the ship docks. You will be brought inside automatically after the LOADING screen.
So someone please help me on doing this manually at the files that are needed at the FL directory. The exact way on doing it.
Thanks.

Best way to make cap ships dock bases is adoxa’s plugin.Which part the HPMount attached to?
Root, or else?Definitly Root, because if you attach it to a specific group it may bug up.
AUTO DOCK -
I MEAN when you are already near the station/s or battleship/s then you press F3 it will bring you directly to the LOADING screen.I think it can be done with some INI editing.
Example: (solararch.ini)[Solar] nickname = smallstation1 . . . docking_sphere = berth, HpDockMountA, 10.0, Sc_open dock1 docking_sphere = berth, HpDockMountB, 10.0, Sc_open dock2 docking_sphere = berth, HpDockMountC, 10.0, Sc_open dock3 docking_sphere = moor_medium, HpDockMountD, 10.0 docking_sphere = moor_medium, HpDockMountE, 10.0 docking_sphere = moor_medium, HpDockMountF, 10.0 docking_sphere = moor_medium, HpDockMountG, 5.0 docking_sphere = moor_medium, HpDockMountH, 5.0 docking_sphere = moor_medium, HpDockMountI, 5.0 docking_sphere = moor_large, HpDockMountJ, 5.0 hit_pts = 9.99999961690316245E35 ```Docking spheres in bold. I underlined the section where you can edit the docking distance you enter the base from the docking point.(currect me if I'm wrong). I assume that if you edit it like this: docking_sphere = berth, HpDockMountA, 1000.0, Sc_open dock1 It will dock from a distance of 1k from the dock mount, without the scene.

there is an edit button under each post of yours, you know. you don’t have to make double, tripple or quadruple posts
if you use vista or win7, try to start the patching app as administrator (random thought, no success guaranteed). because normally the patch finds the game itself (via registry?), shouldn’t be a problem… -
