MOD - Wings of the Federation

Uh, the autor’s name is masternerdguy. Why do I identify myself with this nick as well ?

IIRC he made a lot of widescreen patches for vanilla and various mods.

Uh, bad mind.

I’ve been playing it.
Not bad. There are a few things to point out.

First, this is the first time I was really afraid of missile lock alarms. The missiles here are extremely powerful weapon.

Second, voice acting. Man, I could’n stop laughing XD, the best part: the scream when the guy dies. (Can’t say who cuz spoiler! =P)

Third, capships here are extremely weak. Something normal for civilian ones, but the military capships shows really weak hull and weapons.

Fourth, sometimes your ally NPCs sits there and let you finish the enemies by yourself.

Conclusion:
Its a good mod but it seems it was released too early. It needs more work.

However, if you’re reading this BEFORE playing it - he isn’t joking when he says launch within 20 seconds and hit escape. The keyword here is HIT ESCAPE AS SOON as you press the launch

glad you enjoyed the mod, I hope some other peeps make campaigns as well.

The crash can be fixed by changing Cnd_True to Cnd_SpaceEnter for space_enter_rtc (line 290 in DATA\MISSIONS\M01A\m01a.ini).

Just dl’d this mod, will let cha know how it goes a bit later.
