about the power control… is that actually impossible to build to FL. say, if everything requires power - engines, shields, guns, all of the stuff - could it be made possible to say increase the concentration of power given to the shield via a key. the player could define in his options, how many percents he wants the switches to be.

Need information about NPC in Freelancer - how they are synchronized? How when the player does not see them?

The docking ring, it could be a station in geosynchronus orbit with the the planet.
An it could have mooring links and the obvious docking ring all in one.Mixing trading station with the gravitational elevator (docking ring) and the moors for the capital ships.

In our project players can create character as in any MMORPG: select eyes, hair color etc. On planet or base player can move like any third-person shooter. And when you capture a battleship, you just run on the battleship and shoot at the enemy:)
But now we have problems with player models - .dfm format If someone convert or create some models and animations - it would be great
About docking: during the docking you can control your ship. In a certain area you will be asked whether you want to get on base/planet or not.

For now we decided to create copy of original Freelancer
s Sirius Sector without any storyline changes. Game starts after Nomad War or maybe 5-10 years later. Planets don
t have docking ring at all. Just fly in its atmosphere.
On planets/bases clans will be able to buy a their own hangars, clanhalls and more) -

This seem to be a promising project!
Regarding docking rings: If you don’t include them into the game, you could still add them as an option or so sinse it’s probably a lot simpler - there’s a reason DA added them.
