Running into problem when i try to log into server

have you disabled ipv6? do you have any antivirus software considered incompatible with the connection algorhythms of freelancer? you can inform yourself on both via our search function

maybe the version of flhook you have is incompatible with the version of ioncross. do you have this error, too, when one of the operators is not running?

Server is running on the same machine you’re trying to play the game on? Do they share the same Freelancer install directory?

It looks like a couple possibilities right off the bat. Make sure you’re not banned…
Otherwise this is usually due to an error in modded files, or mismatched files between the client and the server.

Try reinstalling FL and going vanilla. Delete the player file using IFSO.
If you can log in, make a new player character and launch.
If that works, you’ve ruled out a number of things.

Now, step by step add in the features until you fail to connect again. Last feature added is your culprit.

Do what Robocop says. Delete all the player files, as that’s probably your main problem. If that fails, then run it completely vanilla, with no server operators.

On another note, I recommend you don’t use Avast as an antivirus solution. From personal experience, it brings up far too many false positives while letting the real threats pass through.

maybe you forgot installing the official 1.1 patch making it possible to play join a server from the same machine.
