    Hum… Those errors very common in Freelancer, but all may not crash.

    Maybe this is the time to check your Anti Virus software, Reinstall Freelancer and mod manager in other HDD vol etc…

    When you install Freelancer, make sure use the Installation In Freelancer CD, this will also install other need component.

    i did a full uninstall and complete install, seemed to work better including graphics but got to the second part of the first story mission (forming up) and massive lag infact so bad we just lagged down the tradelane and went to pittsburgh instead of fighting :S

    ive removed a load of games in hope of freeing some memory, and im currently defragging my system (twice today) and ill inform of the results, if i can get vanilla working ill try with a mod

    UPDATE

    well all was good, 0 lag even on full detail, 1600x1200 resolution… and then middle of space (NO NPC’s) no debris field or anything and just started really bad lagging again, so i turn down detail to 0 and drop to 800x600 and it stopped. i dont get why it just decides it doesnt like to play right 😞

    never 😕 i just completely restored my system theres nothing on it, exept freelancer now, just had a test run, seems better but was one bit of major lag again,

    could it be my display drivers?

    (but game running ok now… so going to try with a mod)

    Sounds like you might have a background task kicking in on your pc that’s eating up resources. Keep your task manager open and when the lag happens alt+tab out and see what’s using memory and cpu.

    Another possibility is something is getting hot, I’d run a stress test like I said and see what happens. How much graphics memory do you have?

    well, i havent a clue how much graphics memory. its a 4.4 score according to this new system setting windows used. cant find anything 😠 but defonately no background tasks. as i said nothing on my system anymore

    im running Nvidia 9200 series if that helps? (no i dont have money to change the actual motherboard)

    Can’t be a 9200 series, unless you’ve got onboard graphics chipset. In which case I’m not surprised you’re running into issues. Don’t expect any level of performace from integrated graphics chipsets.

    well its working better, exept now i cant get any mods to work because the computer refuses to save them to FLMM they have padlocks on em and dont show up 😞 im gonna cry

    is it possible just to remove the integrated stuff by changing the motherboard??

    manage to get one of the older freeworlds mod working, and turned off the background stars seems to run fine now …
