GTX 460 + Freelancer, settings to use?
-
So I’m trying to set up Freelancer to be crazy nice with no jaggies in the images, but I’m not exactly sure which nVidia settings to use. I’ve got a single 23" monitor. I’m currently using the 1024x768 resolution which my card scales for a 4:3 mode on my monitor.
The attachment has my current settings.
OS: Vista 64-bit Ultimate SP2
CPU: Core i5 760
Graphics: eVGA GTX 460 using WHQL 280.26Can anyone tell me what settings to use to get the best display possible?
(and yes, I’m the same Konn that ran the Phoenix 1.9x mod server back in the day)

Well you might as well use as much AA and AF as you can with that card, set them to 16x for AF and 16xQ CSAA for AA. Set texture filtering to high quality and turn triple buffering on.
p.s - if your monitor supports it, run at 1600 x 1200, better yet use jflp.dll and hudshift for widescreen support if your monitor is widescreen.

EDIT: whistles the screen I had with the cargo ship going past the base that looks like Fort Bush? I can barely see any jaggedness at all, and the animation is smooth as anything.
Any other tweaks welcome, but for now I’ll stick to the resolution I get from FL + FLpatch 1.1 + QuickFix 1.0c
