What's wrong with Avira?
-
So, The story is, my Revelation.exe (a renamed Freelancer.exe with a lots of hex edit) come’s a virus. Not real virus, but Avira think it is.
And looks sumanuti got same problem: http://the-starport.net/freelancer/forum/viewtopic.php?topic_id=2849&forum=27&post_id=49894#forumpost49894
I also tried to change some (randomly) offests in real Freelancer.exe, same happened. It’s strange, and why?

False positives through heuristic detection. When an A/V becomes this sensitive, I usually think it’s time to change.

I bought Avira couple of years ago and after a few days of using it I uninstalled it due to various reasons, one of them being that it was way too sensitive when it came to certain files which I was using often, such as your freelancer.exe for example. After that I bought Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 for my PC and Nod32 Smart Security 5 for my laptop. I can say I’m pretty satisfied with both, especially this new version of Nod32, cause the old ones sucked hard but this seems rather ok.

I’ve been using Avast and AVG alternately for several years, both have free versions and both work OK with FL. There is some slow-down but it’s not too bad.
I’m on XP Pro SP3.

I have sent a False positives feedback to Avira, hope they will remove that from their db.
