RFR: Do you mean to launch one ship and then use another ship to attack it?
Just make a second User Account on your PC, from Control Panel.
Start Freelancer Server on your PC (or on another PC if you have a LAN).
Start Freelancer and start a Multiplayer character and launch the test ship, fly it to a safe place where it will not be destroyed by NPCs, and then switch User Accounts on your PC.
Start Freelancer in the second User Account and start the second Multiplayer character, launch and fly to your test ship and you can attack it.
You can switch accounts quickly with Windows Logo Key+L.
It’s better to log in on both accounts first and then switch to the first account and start FL Server and then Freelancer.
-
No need other Windows User Account, ST.:)
Freelancer send MPID and something like that to a FLServer (looks) just when you click the server in the server list.
After that, FLServer will no bother with that long long id. So just change your ID after your first char enters your flserver and before your second char enters.
But the hack in Limit Breaking 101 must be done so you can run more than 1 freelancer in same time.
-
OK but changing the ID back and again is more difficult.
-
What’s wrong with FLAM?
-
Nothing.
-
That’s not how it works. The only way to “stop” a renderer is to entirely stop it, at which point you call that “closing the game”
-
It depends on the power of your machine and how good is your internet connection.
You can try to reduce the display resolution, some mods switch to high res.
But it’s best to use this method only for testing - launch the test ship and switch to the other account, go find it, shoot it up.
If everything is fine, close that account until you want to test again.
The right spelling is “Multi”
