Have I not also stated that I am a noob to modding FL which would happen to include handling FL files. When I spoke to you about selling you the rights to our ships, you told me that you required both server and client files. I had only owned RU for a short time at this point and you told me that you would need those files. At that point I told you that I would send you those files but that you were to ONLY use the ships. So don’t act like your Mr. Innocent in this, especially when you know as well as I do what happened between us.

Okay according to Luna, he authorized the use of his ships, NOT the mod, until Dias comes here, the ad has been removed.
We will give every opportunity to let Dias disclose what he has done, and what he hasn’t done. If he needs an interpreter, I’m sure someone here can help.

Sadly, The only thing this has proven is that MOD makers have more to worry about now than the few syntax errors that may have slipped by. The question always has been how far do you really trust the playtesters. Now, tell me that next time one of you suggest asking for Paypal donations some of this discussion will not pop back into your memory…

If a modder has a chance, run your own testserver. On that way you can avoid this kind of problems.
Specially when people get mad they do strange things.
And it’s than always to hurt. Some don’t know that they make a fool of him/her self.

Well, as of now, I can no longer access the “Colonial Wars Server” and it is now called something else. It still shows up on my server lists as visited. It’s called: “Coalition Wars Beta” I think? At one time on my list is read ,“-=[Coalition Wars]=-” then to the above? I had several characters there but to log on, I have to change mods.

It seems that there should be a way to block it from showing up on the Most Active Servers List somehow so players can’t see it and want to join. I know I haven’t been there and I have all servers not played Xd out when I start Freelancer so I don’t have to wait for them all to appear.
I’m running a Discovery Server and to keep an eye on it, I don’t want to have to keep doing reinstalls for a different modded variation of it. If I go to a different type mod, I go back to the Vanilla servers that don’t require more than a simple deactivation of Discovery and just omit using the FLMM to connect. All’s fine and dandy from there. Playing “FlyByUs” or “Void” or something to get back to the basics.
Every since I had a player (Dias?) join my server and try to talk me into running this unnamed mod, I have had a lots of problems with the server staying up and on the servers list. In the same week of May, (Dias?) I think kept returning to try to hack it and had been using that mining cheat to crash it. At one instance, the player tried to cahs 24 - 100million credit cards and Ioncross caught it and announced that it wanted to kill him and ban him from the server.
Since that time, I hardly have had any players other than the ones that have been with me for the longest. Now, they have shied away because of the instabilty of it.
Since the Discovery mod s so popular, I’m just thinking of not running it anymore and trying to find a different mod to run, serverside. I’m no modder myself and want to keep running a server because I enjoy doing so.
I really like the Tekagis Treasure mod and would like to be able to run it more as a passworded server than a public one because I’m not able to connect to thier server for some reason or another? I’ve never been able from the getgo way back when and I and like to interact with others and not just play SP all the time. I’ve countless hours on SP from the beginning of it up until 5.33 then just decided to run the Discovery mod back in March 2007 last year.
Oh well, can’t always get what cha want. I’m just a Freelancer, battling my way to the top of the servers list no matter the twists and turns I’ve had in the process. I run in the 20s and 30s for a long time and now . D

Anyways, I’ve had to use a different port now to get my sever to stay on the list for players to connect? 2302 just doesn’t list it anymore or not that I can see?
Hopefully, someone will find a way to stop him from running a server and ruining servers for those that just want ot have fun.

I’d say it’s time to stop the Catch and Release, and instead toss some to the barn yard cats… ;D

The bit that’s bothered me about this is the “selling” of a mod, this is an illegal act, as the files in a FL mod are copyrighted to M$ and cannot be sold by anyone other than M$. From what I’ve read Lunar_Eclipse has never owned the mod and has no legal right to sell it, this also means that Dias doesn’t own it either. The mod belongs to the ppl that originally made it, and will always belong to them, unless they actually sign over their copyright & ownership of the custom content.
Lunar_Eclipse you have left yourself wide open for prosecution by Microsoft, pray they never find out as they always sue over this sort of thing.
Dias, your an idiot for being stupid enough to pay for something you can never own. If your altering the mod then I hope you have permission to do so from the original mod makers, otherwise they can force you to stop using their mod.
