I finally got the Original Game Soundtrack on CD!!

!! NOTICE !!
I just discovered that the tracklist on EAC’s online database was not entirely accurate: the Kusari and Rheinland suites were confused. I’ve corrected this and reuploaded the .7z archive, but if you downloaded it already, you might want to correct the filenames.
-
Erm… I just forgot to mention that… I hoped that was just the people which uploaded that switched the names. That wasn’t the case.
I’m listening the musics and that’s better, not because of encoding or better master, just because my headphone was badly equalized… My HP lacks of a certain amount of frequencies around 6 or 7 kHz resulting in a not so defined sound. It made a long time I better equalized. I really suspect that low quality vanilla FL musics boost trebles to compensate the lack of treble extension, but that’s just a supposition.
I would like to thank you to have created your own website from scratch where we can DL these files. Despite the fact it’s simple, it’s so useful and secured.

Thanks for uploading those. I knew them only from a Youtube Video that had them all merged into one long soundtrack-video.
I also still have some other Freelancer Soundtrack on my PC. Certainly it contains tracks from yours, just cut into several single titles. But it also contains Bar Music, which is missing in your version. This Bar Music however is in better quality than FL’s, and so it must be also from some “more original” source.
I think J.R. sent it to me once.
Download: Freelancer SoundtrackAnd since we are at this, Syd once also sent me very early music of the game.

Bar tracks are stored in plain uncompressed pcm wav in some folder at bonus DVD. Along with earlier tracks too.

Indeed there is a bonus DVD included. I haven’t taken the time yet to have a look at it! I’ll be having the night shift this week, and it seems like a cool thing to do when I come home, early in the morning.
If there is more relevant (and easily ripped) audio material, I’ll upload that as well.
-
Fun trivia. Bar tracks were composed by Andrew Sega aka Necros, demoscene musician, he also worked on pilot speech system in FL. One of the tracks featured at Alpha Conspiracy (his solo project) release Forward Rewinding EP, “Zeno’s Paradox”.

I want to download the audio pack but the links are broken. Is there a way to acces to the website or is it dead ?

Sorry but in WAV or FLAC is better. I remember of the fact that Moonhead put the WAV version in his website. It’s for my remaster. I need the bar musics to finish it. I would like to have Liberty Bar 1 and Bretonia Bar 1 as the Artofeel ones are lossy.

Finally I downloaded the DVD and that was the same quality so I used them and added some informations with a great VST.
I think I will release the music pack tomorrow. There is some informations to add in the read_me. I will upload it in The Starport, Mod DB or any other file host that support Freelancer.
