[resolved] Font missing - wine

Hi all and thanks for this site.

I trying to run Freelancer with wine (ubuntu16.04) and all run well.
Just some fonts (not all) are missing, check screenshot.

I have installed agency-fb and agency-fb-bold fonts in c//windows/Fonts/
and restart the system but nothing better.

There is a link in this section (problem solution FAQ) but the link proposed is dead.

I’ve also tried with winetricks, but I can’t install anything with it (must be another issue not concerning FL). I get this error message:

I think if someone can tell me what is the font missing that would help me.

All you need to do is install those fonts to your system, not into wine. You should just be able to double click all the font files on the CD + it will open in the font installer application.

Also I would recommend upgrading to ubuntu 20.04 now if you can, 16.04 won’t be supported for much longer

What you said should works.

But I added arial-unicode-ms.ttf
in ~/.wine/dosdevices/c:/windows/Fonts/

and everything go well!
