Not too gone. When ready I’ll make an official announcement about it since we look for talented people. This thing could’ve been avoided with ease but stuff happens. I hope someone will close the topic, since it’s not useful anymore.

Fact is, you are again trying to prove that I’m wrong while using words and phrases. While the facts are all on me.
The expectations of the moddb and all other players are still the same, they want to see the uniqueness of the mod design I showed. They care less by who is done.
And yes I have all the rights to get my mod “back”. It lasted for 3 years in a dormant state. Don’t be hypocrite enough and say people worked on it or you where right to it.
There are no stories or “unfinished models”. The models are actually quite finished and under analysis by some other people, they are very good to be implemented. Again since, in essence I created the idea of this mod and still do, I can do whatever I wish with it. And it’s not your right I guess to dictate that I have no rights over my work. Don’t play the victim again and rather work on Crossfire. I guess the community on moddb is still having “expectations”.
This was my last response towards you, because you cannot understand the whole image, you exagerate with your claims and cannot be reasoned with you.

I know what I have on my HDD and I kept the track of what and who contributed. The system editing, the graphical assets were done by the Continuum mod members 3 years ago. Even some of the lore that was considered to be added. The “community” as you like to tell it, did nothing in the last 3 years. If they were I would’ve known for sure since I checked on a regular basis the swat forums. What I done so far with some other fellas was originally saved. The other content which was stored on your variant of lancer’s reactor was just for ideas. There was nothing determined, and since all the others left, I remained to ponder and think about new ideas for it.
And again in 3 years things can surely change, Continuum is not a community mod anymore, that idea dropped a long time ago when actually nothing was created after the continuum dev team members left.
I am not gonna continue to argue with you because again it’s worthless. People contacted me to work on this with them again and this is what will happen.
-
Aside from the little unity 3d testing and the page on moddb that was, I cannot see anything, I’m sorry.
-
Last time I remember right, only I contributed since the majority of the actual work that exists is done entirely by me. For 3 years, no community effort was done for Continuum. I waited for that promise, even asked you about on the SWAT Portal, but nothing happened.
So far I didn’t received any complaints from any of the community members you speak of, even those who were “contributing” more or less, never said a word about it. I don’t private anyone from this, but I decided that after all, it would be best if it would be an independent development team as it was in the first place.

We are gathering resources again and continuous planning about what to bring, we’ll make further updates and official announcements when we are ready to present some ideas. More achievable but still delivering the same feeling.
Huor, I have friends on skype from the Crossfire’s dev team. So I know how you are in general. But I just got the impression OP does w/e he wants and says w/e he wants no matter what. The little “quarrel” so to speak, was between me and OP but because of such actions, people can change their opinion. But as I’ve seen on the moddb the page has been removed and it’s for the best. I’ll make a new fresh one soon when we planned more.
PS: And of course you bring again irrelevant arguments here again OP. From that quote I specified that I didn’t liked that Continuum idea to be linked with Crossfire. I dropped it because I already wrote an entire new baseline and backbone of the lore.
The comments about the “developer” ? Are you seriously trying to prove that you were the developer because you commented on some of the moddb’s members questions. During that time yes, since you wanted to provide support on this mod, you did that indeed. Nobody asked you to do it, or forced you to do it.
And while I had/have all the mod content aboard my PC, I think my direct implication was never ended. It could’ve ended if you had everything I had on my PC. All the files that were created in the first place.
And again, because of your exagerated reactions you have here again, I prove myself and the others that either way, it would’ve ended the same. No matter what. So on this you can say whatever you want. My point was made.
I’ve seen we reached a consensus with the moddb page, while you finally removed it. So we can start with fresh information that is underway. You should’ve done that in the first place when you received my first pm about this and not begin to complain about our legit desire to work on our own on the mod. This conversation as the entire post could’ve been avoided if you’d removed the page from the beginning, I would’ve agreed since it was your work on the detailing and and other page-related details.

Why do I call the entirety of SWAT ? Basically because as said above, OP dictates everything that moves around. If someone objects, it goes boom. I’ve noticed it before. He really just wants to make his point the only valid one.
Why did I do such a thing ? Because technically I had all the rights to do so. I was part of the SWAT Team just as an “extra content” because I wanted the team to help me out with the Continuum mod. I specified that I will let only and only the SWAT team to touch any of this assets in the event that I would’ve give you all I have for this mod inside my HDD (concepts, schetches, graphical content and so on).
Another thing is surprising that I cannot figure out yet why all the drama about a simple mod that 90% of it’s content that was created was by the original Continuum team. Because of personal RL issues some couldn’t involve themselves too much since we were all in basic, Discovery players. I continued to work and create content and write all the ideas I had about the lore. Basically aside from forum side, a temporary hosting website when the team had more developers back then, all the rest content that was dictated (models and written stuff which is more then enough for a single team member to do) was done by me.
I simply wishes to take things on my own, I never intended to wage war or do something nasty with the team. But since the only one to represent the team and has word is only OP, I have nothing to do about it anyways.
Now claiming that the mod belongs to OP well… that’s really a bad move in the image of other modders as well. If the SWAT Team wishes to remove the page designed by them in the first place, feel free to do it. I, with the others can work for a new one with no problems. But again, the ownership of the mod belongs to my team. I cannot see otherwise since it’s… nonsense.

Hello Starport, probably you saw my work before for the Freelancer mod named Continuum. It originated 3-4 years ago in the forums of Freelancer Discovery. I grabbed some people and we began working on this concept of an alternative timeline of the Freelancer plot and beyond. Later ideas came in and out and we came to the conclusion that we should change it even more to make it more dangerous and “catastrophic” naming it Continuum, thinking originally about the continuation of the houses of Sirius adapted to the disturbed sector filled with cataclysmic events.
I hailed the SWAT Team, mostly OP and dealt with. We discussed this and we agreed then that my small team to be included in the SWAT Team and that the Continuum project to be done by them. Then it looked fine. Since most of their time, well most of OP’s time is spent towards Crossfire and it’s completion there was literally no time for this and I couldn’t invite other people because you all know the issue and some didn’t even wanted to hear about this.
Another thing was that I was the only guy left from Continuum, but I kept all the assets, the tons of unique models for each house I created, graphical concepts, art, and of course the lore which I have on paper even, written by hand. Almost 3 years passed and nothing was heard about the mod, even it’s page began to look like a Crossfire advertising thing. People got confused thinking it might be some Crossfire rip-off and began to loose interest when they saw the advertising.
Now I decided to take things on my own and grab people here and there and go on with the mod. I changed the pages description and informed OP. He began to wage a flame war of course, whining around ethical imaginary idealism of “back-stab”. Now, he claims that Continuum to be his own, the page got modified, no possible way to access it. The content of the original mod was removed, added with Crossfire models on which I worked a few times, thats why I recognize them.
http://www.moddb.com/mods/freelancer-continuum
This is how the page looks modified. He forced his way to clear any track about us and to look legit as another SWAT project. Which is not. I doubt this issue was discussed with all the SWAT members and they all agree, “Oh hey ! Let’s steal the mod again, he has a good idea, let’s get rewarded by it”.
Apparently this is how OP works now. If you want to seek help there and decide that it is not needed anymore, but you want to keep a friendly or even neutral attitude, you get stolen with your idea and all.
The development of Freelancer Continuum, done by Freelancer Continuum Develpoment Team (and not by SWAT) is undergo and we look for all talented people. I hope I get some support here and there, to get back the mod page to their rightful mod creators, aka us.

Absolutely brilliant, the web-interface is truly unique. It willbe nice to have an ingame database :D. Keep on going with the good work !

I am sure the old domain will be put in good use and rather ease the job of many modders around the FL communities, and well for the future of FL modding also. On a side note, I am not really interested into the many differences between these “sides”, because keeping an old game like FL active even today it’s … something ! And with these separations and arguments to each others brings no good not for the several individuals but for the entire FL community around the web. And I need to be honest that I am rather new to modding as this is my first experience as a 3D Modeller, and to be new to this whole new experience is really “hurting” to see people “under the same roof” arguing about … nonsense :D.
-
I appreciate your support with our project. “You never know what you may find in your way” Hehe
-
At least the intentions with the old domain are good. Because as I said and you’ve got my point, having 2 different domains doing the same job would look stupid. And regarding Continuum, OP put a hand to boost the mod. That isn’t a good thing ? PR is a good way to make your place into the big “arena” of the other mods. And when the PR is good the mod has bigger chances. And since Continuum is on a continuous development, thus it’s been shown the progress, doesn’t really matter if it’s done daily or monthly. And really there is no problem in having an official mod for each community from my perspective. Bigger communities, greater mods because of their resources and support. But that’s another topic do discuss about. Anyway I’m looking forward to see how the old domain will go further on. Good luck with it.

I am aware of the “legendary” conflict between TSP and TLR and from my point of view this is intended to be a hit to the current TLR portal (at least half of the intention is to hit TLR). But again, It is not normal to have 2 TLR on the web. Imagine if the TSP had a clone with .org or whatever domain it could be, think about how the community would’ve felt when they see the clone created. All their work, all their efforts and so on. Just give it a picture. On a second note, about TLR.org activity. I need to say the contrary and not that I am part of TLR, but I daily watch it’s activity on the forums, registered members (again daily registered members), and even the gallery which is very up-to-date as well and should I say that TLR is working on it’s official mod ?. In my opinion OP tries very hard to maintain 2 very big FL networks which share a huge amount of resources for modding, and his job is being kept difficult because of some issues that happened long time ago. I respect you for what you achieved here, I really missed the old domain, since it was for me the source where I heard for the first time the word “mod” for a game. And think of the work put into the current TLR, I don’t want to create inflammatory topics because I know as I said before, the eternal conflict… and well no side want’s to make steps to a close collaboration.
-
But the current isn’t ? As from my point of view, the only Lancer’s Reactor will remain the existent one, and not the new (well old) domain you acquired. It might be a great achievement though, but think about this… do you really expect TLR members to come to join the “new” one that is hosted by TSP ?
