Actually, they screwed FL over. Roberts had FAR grander plans for the game, but MS shoved it to release in an unfinished state.
Had they had more time, imagine what we could’ve had… A much larger storyline, a true tutorial, dynamic economy, bump mapping, specular mapping, shadows maybe? More support from the devs afterwards? Instead, DA was dismantled soon after.
As for Windows, the only reason people are sticking to it is because most games only run on DirectX. If the Khronos Group could get their head out of their asses, maybe they could make a COMPETITIVE alternative out of OpenGL…
