It’s an old one called Antares I used to work on it’s sadly no longer active, as I did most of the system building on the last release/update I still have the mod files.

I think it was around the same size as Discovery 100+ systems, 300+ bases and about 250 ships (fighters and capital), although it had a non dynamic economy the economic structure was large and complex and paid as well(or better) than most missions.

Explosions can deal damage, but they don’t bypass shields. Only radiation zones bypass shields, and they cannot be “spawned” by a gun. You’ll need FLHook either way, except spawning a zone is a hell of a lot more complicated and convoluted 😛

It shakes while flying around in circles lower and lower. It then stops a long way down from the jump gate and just shakes there.

EDIT: I have added the ship so others can view it’s problems. Split into two parts because the .mat was too big.

I am losing interest in FL permanently, then I gain it back. FL is just a game and I think we can be glad that there are still such big communities like this and mods, and FL is not just another old game from 2003 or maybe an abandonware.

So, i have used MAYA to split the modelin more than 2200 groups…
Now i’m deleting internal parts, and making the model in few groups ( like wings, hull, engine, thrusters, cockpit etc…)
But “regrouping” the 2200+ groups in only few ones can take me some times^^
But, by th way, the model will be cleaner, and with less poly and triangles/surfaces…
I will post here my final model, then if someone can make it lighter, can i thin k i cant down it below 15-20 000 polycount…

There is almost any 3D model that can be added into freelancer (no matter poly cont).
So you can add it on the game yourself - search how to extract the 3D model from there .

Sorry to resurrect my dead thread, but I finally got the ship I want dockable to work with the game, but without the dock. Now, I am just wondering if there was a standalone plugin that I could use to make the ship dockable?

I know that several other things make mobile bases, but I need this mod to be as small as possible. I would just like the DLL that makes the mobile bases.

You might want to use Sur Resizer for surs; FLMT doesn’t quite do them right.

Here’s a tip for browsing downloads: the list value in the viewcat URL works with any prefix, not just a single letter, so something like http://the-starport.net/freelancer/download/viewcat.php?list=flmo will work just fine.

The method didn’t work, but I figured it out. I was working with a custom ship so I overlooked the most obvious thing. The original ships don’t have cloak functionality in the SP or MP even though they have the hardpoint. That is why I overlooked it. It wasn’t obvious to me. After I figured it out, I went into HardCMP and added the hpcloak. Works perfectly now.

That is one sweet looking model. Are there any download links?

Addendum: I found a model and have spent the last 5 hours or so modifying the .ini coding to make it easier to use. I was wondering if there was a way to add a thruster hardpoint since the model is missing one.

Also if there is a way to shrink it to the size of the Sabre or slightly larger, that would also be helpful.

Go to loadouts.ini in your SOLAR directory.
There you have to look for “space_arch”.
Remove the last both entries.
