NOTICE:General: VMESH: couldn't find material 82317472
Has to be a missing texture for something, wrote it off for too long as the way point texture but that’s completely different number (I just noticed). Tried using CRC tool and plugging in texture names that are used in the system with no results. any ideas?
update for people looking for this texture
82317472 - 0x04E810A0 - liberty1_256
I had used it on an Order ship where the texture should have been liberty1_256.TGA

Ya, just remember most people aren’t very familiar with recompiling sources and that finding Max SDKs is a real pain 😛
This is true, but as far as I know there isn’t a compiled dll of any version on the forge at all, other than the very first one that is very basic. So either way compilation is required.
But that wasn’t my point even though it may have sounded like it. All I was meaning when I pointed it out, was so people who don’t happen to have 2010/11 didn’t get dishearted thinking it was only gonna work in those versions.
I got the answer back from turbosquid. allowed to use models but cannot sell. there free downloads at my site.
please go and register at: http://dafirespace.com/smf/index.php
and wait for approval.
ships are there to download. there in milkshape format now.
I’m quite experimental and improvising. I generally think that space is black, but components may be highly colorful. My main inspiration is Hubblehttp://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/nebula.
Feel free to contact, best done through e-mail. I’m a sturdy old bull with 52 years on my neck.
Cheers, and best of luck.

Excellent site m8, thanks for the share and the link.
Yeah that is true, your thought on the wreckage is a good one that I may be able to use maybe I can find a model for a construction platform of some sort and work that into a wreckage and use that if no one volunteers.

That’s pretty darn funny! I can just picture you sat at your desk in front of a mirror with a mic changing wigs and hats going up and down the scales. Freelancer alpha one dash one….ah screw you guys, I’m going home! Just die Trent!

I hope you find one. I’ve been asking on here for months for the same, no joy, why i’ve stopped work on my mod. I have all the Starlancer ships ready for sur file work but no takers. I hope you find someone.
Hey Gibbon, what you feel now with LS’s SUR great toy? 😄
i’d recommend to use HardCMP for making hardpoints. it can attach them directly to the hull as well and mirroring them is the only time consumer (although you just copy the values to the other side and change the x-pos, the first orient and the second orient to negative of the original.
mat files are neither the problem. you can export your mat just from the same milkshape session but do not expect any glowmappings. the sur is best yet to do with the sur builder, or to wait for our programmers to complete the tool or with the sur splicer which actually would consume some time if you make it professional. however, me won’t get deeper to that here, there are lots of tutorials for the splicing method, even a video just back in our tutorial section.
