Need help with some more 'strange' errors…
-
Hi guys.
I’ve just been flying around for a bit… which actually makes a change And i’ve come up with a fair few errors in my flspew log which i’m unsure about how to go about fixing… I’ve filtered these out with FLEC…
Firstly, some voice issues… which I cannot seem to track down at all. The only ‘error’ I got in that log is the first entry here… the others are all warnings…:
ERROR: Voice profile 0xb0433947 (b0433947) does not support message gcs_ml_W02aF_Ew04_02 WARNING: Voice message 2831513921 is invalid for voice 3073825485 WARNING: Voice message 2351700488 is invalid for voice 3073825485
For the error: “0xb0433947”, crctool gives me this for my current database:
RVP106 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\AUDIO\voices_base_male.ini) rvp106 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\mBases.ini) rvp106 .... (those same mBase entries are repeated loads.. probably because of multiple bases) (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\mBases.ini) rvp106 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\SCRIPTS\GCS\GCSExcl.ini)
Then for the other 2 warnings, these are the crctool results:
NNVoice (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\AUDIO\voices_recognizable.ini) NNVoice (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\voice_properties.ini)
2 messages that seem to be invalid for voice: “NNVoice”.
And finally the last audio warning… is about some ID issue:
WARNING: invalid MSG id (3045999552) for voice profile (0x8ac7fa4f)
pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\AUDIO\voices_space_male.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\faction_prop.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\M04\m04.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\M04\m04.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\M04\m04.ini) pilot_f_ill_m02 (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\MISSIONS\voice_properties.ini)
I’m like wtf with that Really stumped with the old audio/voice stuff ???
Next I have:
WARNING: alloc_equip: Archetype[0xa6dd74ca] not supported/equippable!
ge_s_tractor_01
(C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\EQUIPMENT\misc_equip.ini)
ge_s_tractor_01
(C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\EQUIPMENT\misc_good.ini)And this is referencing a tractor beam… the default vanilla 'light tractor' actually. I made them buyable in my mod, and thry all seem to work with no problems at all, and it's the first time i've seen it in my log... Coming to the end of my dilemna :P I have this one, which is quite strange. It seems to be telling me what I need to do, and that makes partial sense to me, but as I have no experience with modelling or .sur hitboxes I'm not sure how or what to do for it:
WARNING: equipment\models\turret\no_gunship_turret.sur uses old format, must be rebuilt to version 2.000000.
Non-ignorable.
At the same time I got these notices too, but nomad stuff seems to do this alot with texture stuff, so i'm not too fussed about these.. but here it is anyway:
NOTICE:General: VMESH: couldnt find material 163618903

WARNING: Failed to load ids: 202924I haven't tracked these down to any particular place (in-game I mean) and when I've searched for those locations in the resource dlls, I have come up with nothing, as they all seem to be emtpy. I have a quick skim through the various .inis of the game, and nothing seems to reference these numbers, so i'm not sure where the hell this is coming from :( Sorry for the long post, hehe. At least I know i'm posting to the right people ;) ~Fury

Alarm bells are already ringing with you saying that lol. Those codes refer to entries in the NameResources.dll. They are ship names found in faction_prop.ini. Specifically, Rheinland Navy which has the large ship names between 202908, 202947. What concerns me is you say some of the other dlls are reading empty. Have you disabled them in freelancer.ini by mistake?

Check the loadouts for your bases and wrecks, you’ve put a tractor beam on one of them, bases don’t get them and wrecks only have them as “cargo”.

Will check on those points guys, thanks. Gibbon, I rechecked, they do return large ship names indeed, and they are’t disabled… odd huh! I’ll do more work
-
The first half of all that is simply because you added a Ew04_02 base. Supply a name for it in all of those files to make it happy. See my tutorials at FLC to see how.
New bases are defined in mbases.ini like this:
[MBase]
nickname = Ew04_01_Base
local_faction = gd_z_grp
diff = 15
msg_id_prefix = gcs_refer_base_Ew04_01_Base -
I guess i’ll have to setup a new voice for this to work properly, with the id prefixing thing…
-
Voices aren’t required for bases to function correctly, though it is recommended so players whom hail NPCs know where they’re going.
I’m not really sure what the deal is with the “pilot_f_ill_m02”, as that voice functions fine for me (as do the a and b varients).
With the tractors, yeah, make sure they’re not mounted on any solars. You can place 'em as cargo though, as Bejaymac said.
