on the other you actually announce your upcoming stuff on a site,
which recieved some not so friendly comments from you.And so this is part of the public section, i m curious
- do you now c more “a future” there for you and your community?

community is an interesting work… isnt it?
I have spent the past months exclusivly for the FL community helping other modders (creating models for them, doing texturing work, teaching other stuff), doing promotional work for FL and FL mods, helping communities to solve problems with each other and trying to solve the TLR probs.
And I believe i did a pretty good job… with some really negative results for my own community.What went wrong?
Ignoring all the time that ive spent for others in the FL community and couldnt use for important SWAT projects there are a bunch of events which simply piss me off.
TSP is meanwhile acting like the old TLR
Cooperation between the communities is not existent and if I wouldnt have pointed out on certain projects like “save FL” or “mod spotlight” that the FL community is more than just TSP then we wouldnt at least have a few posts about real community involvement. But since these projects are dead anyways… who cares - right?Inconsequence
Right after TLR did this crap with the “redirect” the admins/modders agreed not to visit TLR and to pull out their work… you guys decided that… meanwhile most are back at TLR acting like nothing did ever happen. Until the next time TLR does shit … and then you return… until the next time… and you return…
And yes im back there too since 2 days. Why? Because I need to fix damages that others have created. Since plan A did not work due to the inconsequence of the other modders/admins Ill have to go for plan B.Not enough that I had to deal with Microsoft to get FL sites added to the FL fansite because either TSP was not willing to or not able (dunno… and maybe i dont want to know that)… no… not enough of this I got blamed because one of the FL fan sites was removed before I re-added it (Station Network got removed when Starport got added). I took the blame for doing something good to the FL community by not just thinking about the benefits for my own site.
Then suddenly TSP community members start trash talking about SWAT here, making claims that are not true. And finally some people which present their mod as the “best of the best” in the FL community tell me I should finally stark working hard while I actually have spent months for the FL community while they did nothing than having a big mouths. And just when I thought it couldn’t get worse I decided to have a short look at that mods forum just to see how many other FL mods were getting bashed. Wrong claims about my mod… about other mods. And when I voiced my thoughts about this crap on my own forum I suddenly get threats and my server meanwhile got hacked 2 times.
If that is the new FL community then I prefere to live without it… or at least to take what I need for the good of my own community and not give something back (like many others do). I will not feed the big fishes anymore while the small ones suffer.
The reason for me to remove the SWAT content is also pretty simple… having downloads here has lead to nothing… being part of the FLCN has lead to nothing (and since there are linkes to communities which have acted with deepest disrespect towards my community I dont want to be part of it anyways)… and the request to get my admin access removed also has a pretty simple reason: people are ignorant and prefere not to listen eventhough Ive prooved to be right so many times already… I dont want to waste more time
One final thing I have to add… not everything was bad… at least 3 people I have to thank for their help… Gibbon, Worfeh and LS
Oh and if you think this is flame… no its just what happened… the reasons for a neccessary decision.

I have to agree with most of that. One area that’s paining me in particular is the attitude towards TLR. Some of you seem to have very short memories. I stand by what i said about them and i don’t go there anymore for reasons i stated when the whole redirect saga was happening. But it seems others are more forgiving…
And don’t even start me on the various community projects lol, all dead and buried after about five minutes of enthusiasm but such is life. I’m also taking a back seat from here on in, no more sharing, no nothing from now on as there are too many little backstabbers floating around… doing my head tbh

TBH I’ve given up trying to follow what the hell is going on with the Freelancer community, so mehhhhh.

In regards to TLR… I never agreed to totally abandoning the new people asking for help over there, and will continue to do so. Â My/Our beef isn’t with those people, and they shouldn’t pay the price. Â I however won’t be directing people to TLR for modding information. Â But those who are new modders wanting help on TLR… I’ll happily help them with whatever issues they have.

Someone mentioned giving up knowing what is going on. I have given up trying to follow. I was absent for a week or so and suddenly there is accusations of TSP bashing SWAT and OP. I am seriously confused.
Regardless, I am posting to enforce FriendlyFires warning above. Please keep things civil. Already the comments are taking a sarcastic turn and this will only lead to further disagreement and potention flaming.

Didn’t we show we are open to criticism and willing to do the best? How come it takes an eruption of bad comments for people to finally say what they thought all along?
Hey, if you think you can do better, feel free to rise up and try. We’ve been doing our best to make this place a better place, but it seems like we didn’t really succeed (we aren’t blind either). We aren’t gods, we aren’t omniscient. If you have something to say, say it instead of burying it down until the pressure is so large it explodes in everyone’s face.

I am all for a Nice civil discussion of what needs done to fix things. You sure can’t fix anything if you don’t know what is broken. But it’s better to not open the floodgates and spill it all, try to deal with a few issues before they swamp you and then call you ineffective because you can’t fix it all at once.
It’s my fear they can’t keep this issue here civil and just discuss it… maybe they need a cooling off.

Just see the FLHook (plugin) development and as well the features I brought to the internal topic “I have a nice surprise for you ^^”

As a Station Crew member of Station Network I am quite sure you missunderstood the comment. I believe it was more meaned in a wondering way.
However, just wanted to mention that I am surely not the only one who appreciate your work you did for the entire FL community.

Without wanting to attack you, isn’t this one of the reasons why there isn’t more cooperation between FL modders? (You are keeping your stuff - However, it is your decision as it was OP’s decision to leave and letting his stuff removed from T SP)
For the rest of your post Gibbon, you may want to talk with some SP admins about the issue. (like FF said)

However, that doesnt help does it? If you have a suggestion, post it. Look at Bas for example. The guy is forever posting ideas and suggestions.

and its not that people are now guilty for now talking with you about problems… its not that you could have solved them
many problems are because of the TSP members and their communities but TSP has no incluence on that
the problems exist and everybody has to decide how to deal with them
