Changing the waypoint size
-
Ive tryed to resize the 3db and the sur but it did not work, only the selected waypoint was bigger not the waypoint detection.
I also changed the waypoint solar radius in the solarach.ini
[Solar]
nickname = waypoint
type = waypoint
DA_archetype = interface\hud\3dnavpoint.3db
LODranges = 0, 20000
mass = 10000.000000
solar_radius = 24 <- vanilla, I’ve set it to values up to 250 and nothing. -
I recall someone finding EXE hacks which effects the preciseness of a the autopilot function. Doing experiments on this could yield some results.
Yeah, there’s this bizzare variable I found that is used in nearly every AI flight calculation (not just autopilot). Decreasing it generally leads to more precise AI (especially with how they avoid objects, etc.), however decreasing it too much makes really weird results. However, I don’t think it would have any bearing on this.

Curious as to what these results are. Mind Sharing?

M0tah, did you build Freelancer engine? Because the rate at which you find these offsets is unreal!
-
find the one that deligates the rendering colour for the fecking way point will you? XD YOUR ON A ROLL DAMN IT
-
…Why don’t you share that source code with the rest of us!?
Actually he almost always does.
Thanks Motah. Strange BTW, it seemed to me that it was kinda 300. Btw, is it from the centre of a model???
It would be nice to find an offset for reaching the object(like station etc.) -
It works!
Awesome stuff!
First I had Grendel change it from 150 to 300, no change. When I jumped in my train and turned to click the left-behind waypoint it ws 650 meters away. So I had him change it to 1000. Jumping now still had it left-behind (because this ship is actually ‘inside’ the sphere and therefore hasn’t reached it) but by simply clicking the waypoint in the lower left hud with the mouse activates the “Objective reached” message and it disappears and the distant waypoint appears.
Nice work M0tah!

First of all, thanks for sharing! I have seen this offset in IDA too, but unfortunately it does not change the size of a waypoint within a tradelane. Maybe you already have found that too? That would save a lot of time…
-
OK found it, it is
300f in freelancer.exe, 0x1d7e80 = distance from a waypoint within a tradelane when it is considered reached ```was just a little bit below in the same function where the first offset is used.

How can I use this model as solar or equipment model?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBXkocYF_h8&feature=youtu.be
Adding a hardpoints to the model and making it use as a shield doesnt show neither on a ship nor as a solar.[EDIT]* works but not a way I want it xD
