Cpu cooling what do you people think about corsair
-
hello i recently burned out my mother board and had to buy a new one. also new case new power supply new operating system. my question is about cpu cooling i have seen the corsair h50 i was wondering if anybody else would think it ok for someone like myself. i was able to salvage the old heatsink and dual core processor from the old computer. ram stick everything 4 gigs of ram evga mother board with nvidia chipset. antec case with out take fan in the back and on top. i have two fans in the front one on hard drive also getting cooler master fan for side of box . in your professional wisdom is this enough cooling or should i get the corsair
http://www.corsair.com/products/h50/default.aspxhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx5usoClfDs also my heatsink fan is pushing around 4000rpms and i looked other heatsinks and they cant match the one i have. -
You don’t need aftermarket coolers if you’re not overclocking.
Spend the cash on compressed air cans and take the good habit of cleaning your computer of all the dust every month or so instead. If you don’t have one, get a surge-protected power strip.
“Burning out your motherboard” likely has nothing to do with the cooler of the CPU. It could be that it was so dirty it stopped turning (bad). It could be that it wasn’t properly seated. It could be that there was a power surge which fried your computer (that happened to me once). It could be a faulty PSU.
But the CPU cooler, with modern CPUs, most likely has nothing to do with it.
