My guess Wolfie would be that there’s much more to this than meets the eye, I haven’t observed much in the way of hostility towards people around here, but when this guy shows up the s h i t always seems to hit the fan.
Whatever it is he’s said or done, it obviously runs deep, and for those of us that just kick around here without knowledge of all the background noise, we’ll never understand it. I don’t know about you, but if I knew I was not welcome somewhere, and that the only thing that could come of me showing up there would be trouble, I wouldn’t go there, unless of course I was intent on causing trouble.
Certainly beginning to get a picture of what all this “drama” stuff is about, seems to begin with O and end in P. Still, having said that, I’ve no personal reason to dislike the guy, but I like this place and so feel a certain loyalty towards the people who make it possible for me to be here.
Also, they’ve helped me out, bitch slapped me, flamed me, corrected my grammar on occasion (you know who you are punks) and generally made me realise I’m clueless about most things except how to constuct and throw a mud pie on occasion. What more can you ask for?

Timmy51m: I’ve been here for years, yes, periods of inactivity (I just got back from one), but I’ve seen the development here in person. I think I have the knowledge to speak about this and free my opinion.
I side with noone in this case to be honest, I want them to get along.
EDIT: Just to clear up, this is mainly following conflicts after TLR split, and later codesharing issues.
I’m not saying its OPs fault TLR split.

You’re not entitled to an opinion, the only opinion that matters is mine. Your periods of inactivity are unacceptable, your knowledge is insufficient, there was no TLR split and there were no codesharing issues. Nothing is clear. Oh the drama!

I’m sorry, but no, I don’t spend a lot of time on other sites. I have a lot to do and TSP is enough for me. Does that make me biased? Obviously, I started this site. Does that make me evil, does it make me not care? Hell no. I don’t even see how you can say those words and mean them. If you want to expand this sentiment to all the people around here, well I’m sorry but this is a community. I’m not going to force anyone to go anywhere. The FLCN has links to all major sites and many minor ones, TSP’s never removed, altered or edited links or references to any other site. I don’t exactly see what we could do more bar just disappearing and merging into whatever other site there is. Is that what you want? Sharing goes both ways, I shall point out. We’ve done a lot, I think, but we haven’t received any request or any suggestion, not a darn thing.
As for the illegality comment, you very, very well know what w0dk4 was talking about and are just grasping at straws trying to cast us in a bad light for some reason I do not exactly comprehend. You’ve always been the antagonizing one and we’ve let you voice your opinion on our site. Many people tell me we shouldn’t be so lenient. Who’s right?

i have to agree, to me, too, OP often seemed to be somewhat aggressive and yes, even arrogant and/or proud a bit more than i’d like s.o. to be. but you know what? who cares! we are not here to become friends, we are not even here to like each other personally. the reason we are here is the survival of FL. agree with that not every part of the community works for his neighbour part. it is fact and it won’t be easy and fast to undo this changes. the most stupid thing we can do now is blaming each other for that. we might not have understood this, but OP recently did most sensible of all: he left this thread and got back to the usual work in sense of keeping FL on its feet. we might be angry, we might dislike what he said of us and his behavior, but that is only because we do not understand him entirely. maybe he doesn’t understand us, too. the best thing FF could do now is, as well, closing this thread and get back to the work he did before and to piece we had before.and no, spare your replies about “but i don’t get, why HE does so” or “yea, but its HIS fault”. neither “no, its THEIR/YOUR fault”. we had enough of this.

how about you stop denying that the work ive done for the freelancer community
how about you stop denying the help requests that were going into your direction (a little reminder on the very first ones: i asked TSP for help to prevent the GLS shut down as we clearly got an offer to keep it running; another request for help happened when the FL communities where hacked and TSP claimed to be save now)
how about finally admitting TSPs role in the split of the FL communitiy (after all it where TSP admins in charge at TLR during that time, it where the TSP admins in charge of the TLR meeting in 2007 and the hacking happened because of exactly those members)
how about admiting how you w0dk4 prevented the development of a GLS replacement prior the GLS shut down by microsoft eventhough it was known that the support time is almost over (a matter that was discussed at the old TLR and still can be read on the archives)
talking about TLR, how about you remove the TLR archives from the net as they are actually TLR property
and finally you were talking about link exchange… ok
1. how about you let us use OUR software as our needs are different
2. how about you grant others the right to use alternative community bars as several server and community admins requested the creation of it
3. if you think you have to deny us and others the above rights then why dont you use the already existing button link exchange from FLC (same rights for everyone)you want first steps… so do them

TSP and assorted TLR bashers… yes TLR did a bad thing (or 2) at one time… BUT THAT TIME IS NOT NOW!!! … im not going to pull quotes outa my ass and make you feel bad about your opinions, were all entitled to what we feel… What has been done in the past is just that… the past… you drag us all down with this squabble… and i for one am wholly sick of it… from both sides. TLR is back up… live with it…

why is the stuff that THEY have done in the past, all the troubles they have caused not important anymore? Obviously I get blamed for every small crap, just like e.g. “creating a community bar” or “having an own opinion about some screenshots” aswell as all my work is getting constantly discredited since I have officially left TSP 1 1/2 years ago when these guys started to discuss how to destroy another FL community on the admins board?The point is I did something nobody of them was interested to do for years, asking Azza to allow me to build up TLR again in order to bring old can new members to the FL community(and probably bringing the community itself a bit closer together). And just a few days later read this thread here where I get bashed, where TLR gets bashed.
I decided to come to this thread to make an offer so the troubles could end and guess what, I get bashed again. I am even being told which software I have to use on my own site, hello?
Judging by this thread and its replies Starport is in no way willing to stop this crap and actively start to support TLR and the other Communities aligned to it. Therefore the TLR administration and leadership aswell as the benefits from it will be shared by the other remaining FL communities that agreed in this kind of cooperation and by those which will join in later.
This was the intention from day one and this is how it will be. I didnt start this project for my personal interests, but I am also not willing to take the blame while others take the benefits. Coz this is happening for several years meanwhile, and i am sick of it.TLR is back, it will stay that way and become an active and successful Lancer community again… thats a fact.

I think by now its becoming clear who actually wants the split.
Btw. Huor did never submit a news about Crossfire (or it had an error, who knows), at least if another Starport admin did not delete the news which I highly doubt. Will have to double check with FF on that one.

Saving a FL community and rebuilding it, getting other FL communities finally to work together, doing decisions together, working on the same project and supporting those communities is a split now? Coming here, despite the respectles content of this thread to make an offer is a split?
