FL Tribute
-
This is a tribute to the game I’ve had the most fun with over the years featuring Why485’s Colony Ship (and it’s a tribute to his promotion of FL as well), may it’s future be as bright as it’s past!

It can be a little slow in streaming for other countries, can’t be helped.
No, I’m not uploading this to youtube, this video is for this site only.

WOW the ship really so big, how it can land on the planet?

Must have some doublesecret magnetic propulsion system. I was waiting to see a dozen dreadnought engines when the back slid by.

LS, You can upload it to Youtube but still make it exclusive to embeds/links - It’s called an “unlisted” video. Honestly, it would be easier for both you and the rest of us if you just did that instead of embedding videos like this. Not to mention downloading .wmv files doesn’t work in all browsers (I still haven’t gotten it working in Chrome).

I like it this way. YouTube = Google = bad.

I messed around a little bit with it today and fixed a couple of texture problems. A couple of the textures had alpha maps when they shouldn’t have (mainly the windows textures) and added glow maps on all of the windows.
All of my other game videos are on youtube, uploaded them today. This one won’t be though due to the chance of it being flagged for copyright infringment. All of the ones I posted up there only contain stuff that the GE team has made.
Thanks for the nice comments guys, I do like the model and said I would be showing it off once in awhile.

Where is reflex?

Actually you wouldn’t be seeing any glass if it wasn’t for the reflection. The glass is set to almost complete transparency, the reflection is about 3/4 brightness. Look for the hotspot on the back window. It’s per-pixel reflection (as in very smooth blending), notice the bright streak running down the glass in the center of it while the ship is passing by (I’m sitting still about halfway between the top and bottom of the curved windows in the video). The effect is fully adjustable by simply changing what texture is used.
