Managed to get a working key using FLKeygen. Still curious as to why it didn’t generate one in the first place though.

As you can generate infinite keys with every freelancer game itself, what should be the problem here?

Using FLKeygen isn’t illegal guys, stop spreading FUD please. You’re making a MPID, not a serial number. The key you get isn’t circumventing DRM, it’s just an identifier for multiplayer.

Assume there was some kind of misunderstanding then. Was referring to use of keygens to break DRM and similar. Pretty sure FLKeyGen wouldn’t be hosted on TSP if it wasn’t legit anyway.
