ALE display tool?

Is there something out there that will display the ALE effects? or an ALE converter or anything?

There is an ALE “editor” that would put out a humanly readable effects and node library which it can also convert back to an ALE file. it is known to have some bugs but is still used for it was the only tool at some point that was around. now there is Adoxa’s XML project that can translate any UTF structure to a XML script and back and apparently it works pretty well for ALE as well. what might cause difficulties however is that many features of an effect are not apparent at first and the only way to figure them as for now is really trial and error and lots of combinatory thinking. good luck

Sorry, my failure at not being clear. I am looking for a way to preview the particle effects in the ALE files, not a code display/editor

There’s none, that’s why you’re being directed to the ALE Editor.

The only previewer is Freelancer itself.
