The Old Starport
-
For the next month or so the old starport will remain online, but with posting privileges revoked, to allow people to download old private messages or grab downloads while they are still organised (tied to posts and such). In time all downloads will be made available within the archive and the archive will be properly organised, but this option exists for now.
You can find the old starport @ https://old.the-starport.net

W0dk4, is the filebase of the Freelancer Mods section in the old star port still available ? If yes, how ?
I’m trying to download a very old mod called TFL (TopFreelancers) which, according to this topic: https://old.the-starport.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=36&keywords=TFL should be available in the Mod Download section of the old starport. However, that section does not exist, and the alternative “Freelancer Mods” section in the old starport redirects to the new domain.

@Orion The original download archive is now rehosted here if you’re looking for a specific old mod. If it doesn’t show up we still have a few things that haven’t been rehosted yet, so I can take a look there.

@IrateRedKite That is the first place I initially searched, mate, and it’s not there. Hence why I was trying my luck with the old archives. If you think you can dig it up, the file name is TFL_Parallel_Universe_V144.zip – the version is not important though, any would do.
Thanks !

They still have their old website up but it’s just the forums. No downloads that I could see. I also tried the internet archive and could get to the download page to see the file download link for TFL_Parallel_Universe_V144_8, but it doesn’t look like anyone actually archived the file itself. You can try internet archives of The Starport, but that’s a long shot also.
Or you can connect with the people that still run the website on their discord server and see if anyone has a copy of the file. Their discord is linked below. -
@w0dka, thank you for hosting the site for such a long time :). I think I visited the old starport maybe once a year… so thank you for helping keep my yearly nostalgia trip alive!
