Faction Change For Planets and Stations Possible?

I was wondering if there’s a way to change factions on stations and planets, like you can make two teams like Liberty and Rhineland and make them enemys and you can make them have a full-scale war, and for example, Rhineland takes over a station in the Hudson system and you can make Rhineland the faction there instead of a Liberty Navy. Could this even be possible to do?

Yep easy to do you change the allignment line in the system file code to what you want it to be and then do the same in the mbases.ini to change the allignment of the npc’s on the base

This, however, needs to be applied on all clients and the server every single time you want to change base affiliation. This means a new patch every time a base changes of hands.

Hmmm, but the fact of it can easily make Freelancer more lively, makeing world change sides, but I was thinking of a server with a limited amount of players anyway, just a small amount of friends on a server. But the fact still is cool ;D.
