Which tools do you think are useful/essential for checking FL mods?

Lancer Solurus’s Error Checker is the main one (version 11).
Second one (don’t laugh) is the newest Datastorm! It checks for things none of the others find.The UnderVerse has zero errors thanks to these programs.
Of course, don’t forget fl-server-errors.log and flspew/flspit.
Previous ones I used:
FLIA (Ini analyzer)
FLScan -
Quick note - nothing seems to find missing [EncounterParams] declarations in your system ini files, so do a personal check on those to be sure all called encounters have a declaration.
Missing ones cause server crashes.
I also had server crashes caused by 11 jumpholes/ jumpgates in one system. 10 is fine.
Chips’ system path generator is still working fine for me, although someone else said he had problems with Freelancer.exe crashes when he used it - this could have been the above reason though, because this is known to happen with more than 10 holes/gates when plotting paths, but no-one mentioned it can cause server crashes too.

You can have more than 10 gates / holes (don’t no if there is an other limit).
The problem is only the path.
If you don’t route from/to or through such a system, nothing is happening.
As soon as you try this, the server will go down.fix:
remove entries for systems with 10+ JH/JG from path files.
including those for other system connections passing through one of those.
