Screen Video Capture, HOW?

Any advice on good video screen capture?

Programs i have Tried:
Fraps (just looked wierd)
Replay media generator (kept crashing before getting anywhere)
Democreator (chubby as hell)
Debut video (this was the best but still pixelated n chubby as hell)

Camcorder:
Even tried hooking up my camcorder but it has NO input to hook up directly to vga exit on graph card.

Its got Usb ofcourse but no software to record from PC.

Screensettings:
Changing screen settings to 800 x 600 seems to help a bit
Goin 16bit helps some too.

Any advice?
Boost(shut down of unneded processes):
Closed as many programs as possible and boosted with Gamebooster and Care.

Pc Specs:
im using XP home edition.
Cpu: amd athlon 64x2 dual core proc. 4200+
graph card: Nvidia geforce 8500 GT (refreshrate 60Hz)

I love Fraps. I use that for all the vids I do. I used to use GameCam but I find it didn’t work nearly as well as Fraps does.

no, tegether is sensless
but you can capture videos with both programms, as well.
(but i mean Fraps has better quality then xFire)

If you make Videos you ALWAYS should use the beste graphics you can get.

I use Fraps myself, and it never let me down. I don’t personally like using Xfire for vids, because the video quality is awful, and a minute of recording takes like a GB of my hard drive.

I use Xfire more than not and I also have Fraps. I’m just too greedy with my money nowadays to register it, however, I do use it as is to mix a lot of 30sec. vids, blending them together using Windows Movie Maker to show different aspects of the mod I’m working on for use down the road. (i’m at a standstill on it right now due to equipment failure and help)

Game Cam is not too bad either. I’ve seen a lot of videos made with it.

I’m sure you can find whatever you need to set in the Fraps window.
As for Xfire, I don’t think you can do much with it. Try Mani Window->Options->Video, you could have some luck.

Game Cam, is also limited to 30secs in unpaid version + there is no sound.

FINAL VERDICT:
Looks like 30 secs at a time for me using Fraps

some ppl might use a “torrented” version but I wont link you to it…

Also btw if ur using windows movie maker to encode those videos, you might wanna make them higher quality before uploading them cuz youtube is weird with that sutff sometimes

You can easily find ahem cracked copies of Fraps all over the net. I also put it all together in Sony Vegas and also use Swishmax for adding funky text options and other display functions, page flips, wipes etc

I’m using a cough Rapidshare version of Fraps and it’s working perfectly. Higher quality with less file size. Definitely more bang for your imaginary buck.
