The database is a backup from 2005 from the old Lancersreactor website. Have fun searching through the posts, every post and thread can be viewed showing the original author and dates posted.

Is it possible to rebuild the search index, so that one can search through the board?

you can search through the boards.
Just be more specific in your searches, i fully rebuild the index wich took me a freakin 5 hours on 300k of posts.
just do a: word AND word
And it will work just fine. -
nice to see Lancer Reactor didnt lose all this impressive stuff…

Just wish it was a little more upto date as there’s a lot of very important info missing that wasn’t known about back in '05.

We should also thank you Chips, loads of usefull posts are from your hand. Without those usefull posts from you and others i wouldn’t even have though about it to bring it back to life.

Reading a few of my old posts pre-modding made me laugh, some people were surprised I would swear and be awkward on TLR… then casting eyes back over them, you’d be surprised for wondering how I was never banned from there originally
Different times, different temperaments. Flames were a very regular occurrence, mainly due to clans, within the original FL forums. Modding area was a bit quieter, but not that much quieter
However, currently the site isn’t loading - get a “problem loading page” error - can’t find server
Assume it’s being worked upon

It’s interesting for a relative newb to get insights onto all you old timers
(And some of the posts go up to November 2007 so not sure why it is a 2005 backup archive?)

read the anouncement, its a 2008 backup of the old LR. in other words, its been renewed.

Assume it’s being worked upon Im rebuilding the search index at the moment, takes ages to complete. So the server is a bit stressed at the moment.
