Best single player mod

Hi all, been out of the freelancer loop for several years now, but I’d like to blast through the single player story again in something other than vanilla FL. Does anyone have any suggestions for a mod that is decent and keeps the story line active?

I think you’re probably looking for the crossfire mod.

Righto, thanks I’ll give that a try. I do recall crossfire being a bit naff when I last tried it, but that was a very long time ago.

It’s still a bit naff in many people’s opinions. There are a few other SP extension mods out there, I think there was one in the last few years called Wings of the Federation. Never played it, though.

Afaik Wing of the Federation is not based on vanilla storyline.

Can’t believe I forgot about this one! Try Shattered worlds Version 1.5 is definitely storyline compatible, think your out of luck afterwards.

Once I release my mod (date TBD), I think (hope?) that it’ll become somewhat popular.

It helps that I’m writing a ~80,000 word fan fic to go along with it.
