Please, dear god, somebody tell me you can produce this effect in Freelancer with that sound effect. I’ve been wanting to have an easter egg weapon like this ingame for some time. But the way the sound file works, and the effect animation works, I’m uncertain it can so simply. I’d love it if one of you, much wiser and more tallented scripter/coders, could pull this off for me. It’s a little piece of nistalgia that I’ve been missing in FL.

It would be absolutely epic to see that blaring out the barrel of the Liberty Siege Cruisers cannon.

I won’t comment on the round itself changing colour as it’s out of my experience, but the flash and music is at least possible, though playing an entire song might be a stretch.
However, if you made the gun’s firing noise a bar of the song, set the refire rate to match the length exactly, you can have one bar of the song repeating.
It’ll be fiddly, but it’d work. There’s explosions used for caps dying that flash your screen, and they could be easily linked to the muzzle flash if I’m not mistaken.
All up, it’s probably possible to do, maybe someone will find it funny enough to take the time to do it.
