IMO the plating in the stern is a bit too much, kinda messy. but great shape anyway and good modeling.

I like the design Sizer, very cool. Whats the poly count on it? that would be my only concern with it really, looks to be a bit high once tripled. Plus the plating looks a little incomplete in some areas.

The plating is far from finished, that was just a draft render. And the poly count isnt too much of an issue for me, this isnt going into FL or anything, it’s just a doodle. But last time I checked it was in the ballpark of 15k tris with half of the main hull being checked (i’ve only modeled half of the ship down the centerline, cloned and added a mirror modifier) so its probably in the ballpark of 20-30k tris as it stands.

So I once started to work on this ship, but never finished…dunno what to do with it. Turn it into a fighter or make it a gunboat? Any advice? Or is it worth to continue working on it?

It’s very… Different.

I wouldn’t say anything bigger than a gunny, perhaps even a shuttle? It reminds me of Alliance design in Firefly for some reason.

Hello! Here is Freestalker.fr! I want to show you my first finished capital ship, the Morgenstern gunboat and I want to have some advices of what vanilla faction would use it?

It looks more like a station imo. Where is the front of the ship btw?

Where the largest windows are. And yeah it looks like a station, but this ship has been studied to have no dead angles. And have you noticed the amount of turret it can carry, 17 turrets, it will be the best capital gunboat, of my mod, in my mod Gunboats would be a great menace for destroyers, and cruisers! Cause they are anti capital ships corvettes. I plane this loadout, and I’m eager to know what you think.

X1 main dual light plasma beam, on the top of the ship (orange) (nexus TJI heavy laser sound)
X4 medium plused ion beams, at the end of every branches (blue) (lightning sound)
X8 quad heavy photon blast (violet) (millenium falcon gun sound)
X4 single medium plasma blast mounted on the bottom (red) (E11 first sound FX)

BTW I would to add this ship for Hessians, bundchu or lane hacker, someone can tell me what is the best faction of these three?
