So, no, a link to Starport does not count because this is not about links to this site, but links to all the sites.
This is all well and good, but we’ve been forwarding Freelancers to The Starport for a while now. The benefit that i see, with having our site on the network bar, is that we not only support Freelancer, we also support other games, which can also be a help to those who play more than just “Freelancer”.
We have our own network bar, because we are involved in more than just one game. We decided that it was time to take things to the next level, involving more communities from a wider spectrum of games. Instead of having the narrow focus on Freelancer, we’re supporting new release Space Simulation games, FPS games, RTS games etc.
We have a link to The Starport on our network bar, in return of the favour you were doing for us, by having Frag-Force on your bar.
Remove our link if you wish, that’s fine by us. But in action, The Starport will be removed from the Frag-Force bar, and the Affiliates block, and we will no longer be forwarding Freelancers to this site.

FLAC still to this day, leaves any other server-side software for dead. As for support, Eagle always fixes the problems, sure, it may take him a while to find it, but he always does in the end. As for compatibility, CountCornelius, you obviously haven’t the time or skills to create any 3rd-party plug-ins like bulldogg for example, who has used this option to it’s advantage. And what about those server admins who might not want or agree with all of the commands you want in FLAC, which is a reason Eagle left it open for the Admins to create their own plug-ins, to manage their own custom commands. FLAC has been and still is the longest supported and developed, not to mention pretty much the best server-side and anti cheat software you’ll find for Freelancer.
-As for the cost, it’s nothing compared to what you’re getting, for the amount of time and effort Eagle has put into such a program.

I disagree with you Worfeh, Purely because a lot of people come to these sites to download mods, look at screenies etc Having them only available for something in exchange will not only turn a lot of players and visitors away, if someone needs a file urgently for a mod or something, then they have to wait for more “points” or more “cash” etc.
As for Joomla + SMF, it suits the site. It’s something different which is good, it’s not a motive to copy anyone etc, I think a custom theme for Joomla is needed, but I’m sure throughout the communities there would be some excellent graphical talent available, we’d just need to compose a design team etc.
As for copying the Lancers Reactor layout, i think it’s just common sense, because you’re promoting a freelancer mod/server/community, and it’s getting word out there being straight on the front page, especially if they have an eye catching headline or image.
But Thats just my two cents.
