I play EVE and like it but i still go back and play Freelancer because there still is no game like it , the easy controls and great gameplay keep me coming back year after year.
Hi to everyone at the Starport, have been playing space sims since the early days of Elite (on the bbc), many moons ago progressing through all the WingCommander series (on the Amiga) up to the not so present Freelancer on the pc, guess you could say I am hooked lol, maybe one day someone might create a space sim combining the features of Freelancer and Borderlands?..:)
Last night I was planning to just check out a couple missions and go back to Minecraft, but I wound up playing until dawn, screwing any chance of accomplishing anything outside today. I don’t think I’ve gotten this wrapped up in a space-themed game since Homeworld. The controls… my god, the controls. They’re so effing good.
Thanks for the warm welcome, gang! 🙂 I’ve already taken my first steps into Freelancer, and I must admit… it’s quite fun. Commands are responsive, and the action is pretty intense. I’m looking forward to getting a little more experience under my belt, and then seeing all of you in game! 😄
Well, welcome back to Freelancer man 🙂
You are right about the lack of good scifi games, although there are tons of outstanding-good-looking games out there, they fall severely short when it comes to game depth and replayability.
Hope your project goes smooth and we’ll be waiting to see how it turns out.
See you around.
This is a long shot in the dark, but make sure the laser’s appear green in your list of weapons on your hud while in space. to make em go green or white (turn em on/off) just left click the mouse button on them.
Another possibility, is that you sold your first weapons and have not mounted new weapons you looted from the NPC. To mount them goto the equipment dealer look at the weapons in your hold and make sure they are mounted, left click the mouse button on the little box like symbol of the weapons picture.
